    Tailight keeps dying

Thanks. I've owned the bike about 10 months now. no headlight bulb problem. I will check the fuses, then get to work on the wiring.

    Tailight keeps dying

This summer my tail light keeps dying. I relaced the bulb (burnt out), and a week later it died again. Is there a mod I can do to have a more durable tail light? Or is it a symptom of something else wrong?

    XB9 2003 Track Photos

Thanks! Its only my 3rd track day, but I have a season of miniGP racing under my belt. I could have ridden a lot better, but I was so hung over that I gave up on pushing more. Oh wells. Pace was barely fast enough for intermediate group.

    Tires, what are you using?

You guys ever do track days on the original diablos? Mine are still good with plenty of tread left. I'm pretty sure they are a bit harder than they were. Looks to have been replaced around 3-4k miles ago before I got the bike. I was gonna swap them over to Bstone S20s since I've had good...

    Weird electrical issues

Yes battery is good. Ground is good too. Cleaned last time my battery died (post rattled loose). I'll check the connectors and the ground up front.

    Weird electrical issues

    1. My headlight is dim. My high beams are plenty bright. I suspect this is just a tired bulb but I thought I'd throw it in here in case its relevant. 2. A week ago while out riding, I noticed my rear tail light and brake light started flickering. It went out as I got near my house. When it...

    Drivetrain noise, hanging idle

I checked and adjusted the primary chain tension. It was at almost an inch. Low end is so much smoother and the engine is much more responsive now. I'm in love all over again. The loud tapping noise is also gone. My bike cut out on the ride from with some friends the other day. Got super...

    Drivetrain noise, hanging idle

Some newbie questions. I've put about 700 miles on my new to me 03 XB9R now. But I have noticed a few things; After the bike is warmed up, it has a hanging idle from about 2500 to idle. No, not just a slow RPM drop from a heavy flywheel. The rate of the RPM drop actually slows down...

How does a Harley xr1200 compare to lightning long?

Even when you are street riding, you'll realize most old tech based non triangulated tubed bikes have a flop-noodle chassis when you go over bumps and the like. when you are leaned over and driving the bike hard through a corner, a ****ty chassis will start to wobble and flex and do all sorts of...

    New to me XB9R

I came out ahead about 500-750 dollars. My Magna was super clean 3rd gen, but I think the Buell was worth 3500 or so. It was also super clean. Took it out to local mountain roads yesterday and did some spirited riding. The bike comes alive when I'm pushing it about 6/10ths or so! I can't...

    New to me XB9R

Traded my beloved clean Magna for this bike. My other bike is an NT650. I'm loving it! Lots of people were hating on it, but the bike is living up to my expectations and more. 10k miles, 2003. I'll probably do a chain conversion or replace the belt in about 5k miles. Anything else I should...
