    Front muffler strap bracket?

I'm in the process of fabricating an exhaust system using the factory muffler shell as a housing. I have all new straps and the large aluminum brace for the rear, but I'm missing the small bracket for the front strap. Anyone have one laying around that could send me some dimensions? I'd like to...

    RAIN Running Issues

I'll certainly investigate the O2 sensor. I'm going to begin datalogging with ECMDroid to see if there's anything strange happening with fueling. I assume the program diagnostics wont be able to pickup on a misbehaving sensor if the ECM hasn't recognized it?

    RAIN Running Issues

The plugs are 9EIX's. I guess I was trying to describe the unpredictable and intermittent nature of the symptoms. It varies between running great or running poorly day to day or even start-up to start-up (on dry days), wet weather guarantees poor running. When the bike is running well it...

    headlight bulbs

I recently swapped my standard bulbs for Sylvania Silvesrstar ZXE 55W and they are BRIGHT. I too have dual running headlights and I've been going for a lot of night rides ever since. They are direct fitment xenons and make very white light. I specifically didn't want blue.

    RAIN Running Issues

Alright.. I finally got a chance to poke around some more yesterday. Grounds at the steering neck are tight, clean and undamaged as far as I can see until they merge with the main harness. I pulled the ignition coil and tested it for resistance; the rear cylinder coil output tested exactly in...

    More sound Torque Hammer XB9S

The Torque Hammer is known to be on the more conservative aftermarket exhausts. I've got a stainless Jardine that I just repacked with Bristol Core. It really screams in the higher RPMs, and I believe it's better suited for the 984 than the 1203. I'm actually looking for something more tame so...

    RAIN Running Issues

Lunatic, I'll be out of town for the next week or so but I'll pull the front plug and let you know what I find soon as I'm back.

    RAIN Running Issues

It's a factory 09 airbox, there are holes in it but no direct shot for water to get in. I've had the airbox assembly apart pretty frequently and the filter has always been dry.

    RAIN Running Issues

The bike: ‘09 12R, 14000 mi. Race ECM, Jardine, K&N, Breather Reroute. The problem: The first sign of an issue came a few months back when the bike started to behave strangely in the rain. After a few minutes of riding in rain or even on wet roads there would be a noticeable loss of power; the...

    Firebolt higher bars?

I have the LSL superbike bars on my 12R and they're fantastic. The riding position is eons more comfortable and it compliments the 'street fighter' type handling characteristics of the bike very well. Here's what it looks like: On my particular bike the factory upper triple was machined to...

    Squeak?

UPDATE: I decided to pull the IAC for inspection on Saturday. Sure enough there was a good amount of carbon residue inside the unit housing and on the actuator piston itself. I gave the the whole thing a really thorough cleaning with some q-tips and carb cleaner. This appears to have fixed the...

    Squeak?

The bike has just over 13,000 miles on it. I'm pretty confident in the breather system. When I did the breather mod I was curious to see what kind of volume the system is actually venting (yes I had a filter over the throttle body). There was a sizable amount of air leaving the open ended...

    Squeak?

No problem, I know specifics are needed for this kind of remote diagnosis. I was extremely particular with my reroute setup, all hoses are in good shape and sealed (to the rocker boxes too), and I used the common technique of placing a 'U' shaped piece of hose facing upwards through the factory...

    Squeak?

So I've been having this minor issue recently where the engine will stutter coming off of revs back to idle. It's sort of like the airbox cough a lot of people describe but instead of a "cough" or "pop" its more of "squeak" or "chirp". It happens most commonly when I'm slowing on approach to a...

    rev limiter...

My 09 12R cuts at 7500 with the race ecm, I think it's 7200 stock. I believe pre 08 are slightly lower.

How-To: Crank Case Breather Mod (with pics)

Just thought I'd add my version to the plethora of breather mods.. So I guess I'm one of the few people who actually doesn't want to see a breather and catch can setup on the exterior of my bike. With exception of the few of you who fabricated your own custom systems, (props by the way) I feel...

    Pazzo levers

Glad to hear you (and your bike) weren't hurt. I have friends that suffered similar incidents but didn't manage to save it. Buddy of mine took a spill when his chinese 'racing' clutch lever actually fractured at the pivot point on a hard shift into 3rd gear. Left him near the top of his revs...

me batt is getting long in the tooth.

Good to know. I keep hearing positive things about Shorai so I'll probably go in that direction when it comes time. Thanks for the PN:up:

me batt is getting long in the tooth.

Anybody on here have any experience with Lithium batteries? I know they're better from a CCA/Ah standpoint but I've heard some conflicting stories about temperature sensitivity and problems with certain charging systems. Just wondering if anybody actually uses one and has some input.
