    Header clamp bolts snapped off!!

I was even using the tool as directed (not hammering it) and snapped. 1 for 1. Good fucking luck drilling out the hardened titanium easy-out.

    03 xb9r idle problem

I'm taking a wild early guess at spark plugs issue.

    off topic---broken truck windshied

I really think you should switch to an insurance company you feel comfortable talking to. I am not an insurance expert, so I email and call my guy all the time with questions. IF you have glass coverage, it's probably zero deductible. That is a pretty standard thing. I got a chip in my...

    This weeks efforts

Now if we could fit a flasher inside the stock mirror, I would buy that or do the mod. I am not good at fabricating things, though. I am 30 and I just bought my first Dremel about a month ago.

    Loud fuell pump

Sorry I can't tell you exactly, but I see people coming through here quite often, or over in the Troubleshooting forum. The pumps seem to be going out any time over 5,000, which, as Lesley said earlier, happens to people who do not treat them properly and often run the bike completely dry. 10k...

    belt snapped what caused it?

Doesn't sound like you were doing anything out of the ordinary (assuming it snapped before the bike hit the ground). I vote belt, but there should be some tension tests and recommendations in the service manuals. Make sure all of that checks out on your new belt before you juice it up.

HELP!!!!!!!!! Third post from me on the subject I know!!!!!!!

He's talking about yours. I am not trying to thread-jack. I am trying to help you with your problem by comparing it to my bike. You have a problem with your S seat and tail conversion. I said to myself, "Hey, that guy's got problems with something that is just fine on my bike. Well shit, he...

HELP!!!!!!!!! Third post from me on the subject I know!!!!!!!

Batman, are you talking about that elongated plastic piece that is halfway up the seat? On my conversion, it appears that it is supposed to slide into the appropriate hole in the seat pan, but it never does. Is that a safety risk? I always thought it was OK with just having the back 3 points...

    xb9r intake knock?

Everything looks good and tight down there. It is a custom muffler, so the brackets that go out to the chin fairing are custom welded. One of them has broken loose and fell off while riding (I heard it and picked it up) so now there is only one bar going from the muffler to the chin fairing...

Has anyone done this? Is it really worth it? http://www.buellparts.net/content-product_info/product_id-2020/firebolt_m_ller_power_clutch.html

    clutch slipping.

Nice summary. Can you explain how to do this without draining the primary oil each time? Can we just set it up straight or tilt over to the right and open the access hatch without losing fluid? That would be nice so you can ride it and see if it needs more adjustment, then adjust it again if...

    xb9r intake knock?

I was just noticing a rattle on mine today. I think it has been around for awhile but I can't be sure. It is a very high pitched rattle kinda like some keys are flapping in the wind (not, it's not my keys flapping in the wind). It happens between 30-50mph and 2000-3500 RPM usually. Sounds...

HELP!!!!!!!!! Third post from me on the subject I know!!!!!!!

I am not sure how I can help, but here are pictures of my S seat that the guy before me did. I think it may be an SCG seat. Can anyone confirm? And to close it, I always look for this lining up (picture is "upside down" because I'm leaning over from the left side, looking in the...

    clutch slipping.

Here's a picture of the rubber boot you can slide up to reveal the adjustment. It is NOT what the red arrow is pointing to. That is just another thing from another clutch cable thread I was posting in. Mine snapped about a month ago and I had to deal with this. The important part of...

    Spark Plugs issues

OK just an update to let any Googlers know that the Harley plugs worked fine. Not sure if that is the wrong type of NGK or what, but everything is working fine now that I followed the manual.

    Spark Plugs issues

LOL my Harley neighbor says "well, it's a Harley motor so you should probably put Harley parts in it." I explained to him how the Harley store hates Buellers. I called the local Harley shop and the first thing the guy said is, "We don't have any Buell parts." LOL!! I gave him the Harley part...

    Spark Plugs issues

2003 XB9R Skip to bold if you don't care about the pre-story. Doing the 10k miles spark plugs change. Heard all the talk about NGK Iridiums so I decided to go with that. The guy at O'Reilly's Auto Parts looked it up and found the right plugs (I assumed) and I took those home for $9 a plug...
