First Track Day with the CityX

I had been reading that the 30f and r was a good starting point. I have used these pressures for a few years now and have no issues. Here's a video of an afternoon session. Camera bike is an 1190sx https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...8&id=830314007 Tire wear was pretty much perfect. I...

First Track Day with the CityX

Thanks for the tips guys. I would say its a bout 1.5" left to the casting. The headshake wasn't too bad, I admit once I realized how quickly the bike turned in, I started turning in as fast as I could to try to make up time through the S's. I checked the bearing before I went by lifting the...

First Track Day with the CityX

Hi Guys, Went to the track at New York Safety Track with my City X yesterday with my cousin and her husband. We had a little buell crew. I have had the bike for a year and this was the first time taking it to the track. Today we were going "downtown", or backwards. Most people don't like...

    Trouble starting-Not turning over

Ah my mistake, I meant to add this info. 2005 Xb9sx 12,000 miles Purchased this past june. Mods: Buell Race exhaust, KN filter, Lower bars, I think some sort of vent bypass. I flashed the race tune via buelltooth a month ago as well, also reset the TPS. I added the grips end of august. I...

    Trouble starting-Not turning over

Hi again guys. I have searched here for this an only found one post that sort of resembles my recent issue with no solution. Basically, when starting the bike, I turn the key, the gauges sweep, I wait for the engine light to turn off and press the starter. 6/10 times it turns over and starts...

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

Just an update. Since reseating the ECM and tightening down on all the grounds and battery terminals, and performing a properly warmed up TPS reset, I have put 200 issue free miles on the bike. Thank you for all the suggestions.

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

Haha, the airbox base has been off for 2 days now. I've been checking for and chafed wires and tightened the big ground wire . Hopefully when I get home today it will either throw the same code and die or run fine. So far it has been: O2 sensor Fuel pump ground TPS sensor too low I can't...

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

TPS screws are good, I was about to check the manual for how to test the TPS. I took the battery out, finally managed to unplug the ECM that didnt want to unplug, and reseated. The TPS is now active in ECMDroid. Good news is the bike idles and the TPS updates. Not sure how long that will...

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

The procedure above is exact how I did it and it was idling great. As soon as I clicked into gear, CEL came on and now the live data from the bueltooth shows TPD stuck on 12.5 and voltage 0.0

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

OK, I reset the TPS suggested by a fiend that has a few of these. I followed the instruction in the video. While warm, I adjusted the idle to 1050ish, TPS is at 5.1. It was idling fine, no CEL. I went to go around the corner and as I clicked into gear, the CEL came on and started running...

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

I hope so, I got this to possibly replace my bandit and be more reliable than my MZ Skorpion. Still hoping is just bad gas still in the tank from the previous owner, but with running a full tank through it already I'm not optimistic

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

I have not checked any connections yet. Fuel pump behaves normally as far as I can tell. It cycles on when I turn the key, shuts off after a few seconds. Then it runs after bike starts. Bike has always started easily so far, even when in the skip spark mode. I got this bike 2 weeks ago and...

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

Bike is a 2005. Previous owner says he never had a CEL, which I find hard to believe. I will do some research on the chafed wires topic. Thanks for your help on this. All fuses look good, I checked the vent hose and air does pass through to the tank.

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

Rode home today from work, all was normal. Topped off the tank and rode a few more miles, all good as well. Being home, I plugged in m buelltooth and saw the codes above. I am running the stock tune with a K&N air filter and the race exhaust. Would that cause any issues like I have seen...

xb9sx runs rough after fill up

Hello all, I have searched for this and it seems over filling the gas tank can cause some running issues. Twice, soon after getting gas the bike has started stumbling and cutting in and out-like riding a bull sometimes. The first time this happened, I cleared the codes to start fresh with...

    Identify Exhaust

Hello, I recently purchased a 2005 XB9sx and I can't tell what kind of exhaust is on here. I don't think it is the stock one but I'm not too sure. Any help is appreciated.
