    Just a follow up. This ended up being a loose ground. I had checked them all 8 months ago but apparently vibration takes it’s toll. Thanks to all who responded with suggestions. Happy New Year!

    I cleaned the grounds 6 months ago when I was troubleshooting a charging problem. The battery is only 2 years old but it has been run flat a number of times. I’ll have it load tested. Thanks for the tip!

    Hi, I have a 2006 XB12R. When I turn the ignition on, the headlight comes on but the gauges don’t sweep. When I turn the kill switch on the fuel pump doesn’t cycle. When I hit the start switch....nothing. Battery is charged, all fuses are good and I replaced all three relays about 6 months...

    Thanks for your help Cooter. It ended up being the key switch relay that was causing the fuse to blow. I ended up replacing all three relays for good measure and she fired right up. I guess I really dodged a bullet as it could have been much worse...lesson learned. I will be cleaning all the...

    OK so I'm an idiot! My battery was dead, it was dark out and i accidently hooked up booster cables backwards to the battery. Now I get nothing. I've had the battery tested and recharged and it's fine. There was a blown 15A ignition fuse in the right fuse block. Any ideas on what else I...
