    Well first it was the o2 sensor bung. Now it's the rear header right where it joins with the y. The headers have 70k on them and have endured 2 rebuilds and countless removals and one down. Not too bad, all things considered.

    I lane split at lease once on my way to work/home in FL. I know most of these old people can't see but it can be done in a safe manner. Plus, bumper to bumper traffic eats brakes and increases emissions.

    The downshift into 3rd I can live with, as its probably still mating with everything. The popping out of gear I can't live with, because I ride the interstate everyday to work.

    Haha it was actually me who had the torque spec issue. Everything improved dramatically but these are the issues that still remained. I'm going to pull the primary cover off again and see of there's any potential for lateral movement of the drum. The only reason I don't believe its forks or dogs...

    Yes sir. Detent was away during reassembly and the shaft was functioning perfectly. I'm just as baffled as you. Haha

    I replaced 1 shift fork, the drum, 3rd gear dog and mainshaft gear. Everything else looked good and was installed back to the original positions. I'm confident everything is there and the snap rings are all in good condition. Its really odd because I looked at everything so closely and...

    Its a little difficult to explain but I'll do my best. I recently did a tranny rebuild. Everything feels like it has mated pretty well but there's still 2 issues. Upshifts are fine except it'll slip out of fifth about 30% of the time. The downshifts are fine except 3rd to 2nd. It takes more...

    Can you measure how far out the shift drum sticks out? Just from the case to the end of the drum. Im trying to figure something out and think it might be too far to one side.

    Sprocket Cover Oil Leak

    For shits and gurgles, check your speedo sensor. It could be leaking from there and running down the side. That's the only thing I can think of if you have checked the vent tube and base of the cylinders.
