    Cooling Fan Short to Ground

I'm probably fortunate that the low fuel glitch showed up because there was the same tiny bare spot in one of the fuel pump wires as well. It was only a matter of time before the blown fuses started. You've got to really zoom in to see the tiny bare spots on the 2 wires.

    Cooling Fan Short to Ground

Over the last few weeks I finally accomplished a few things and fixed some nagging problems: new wheels & tires as well as fix the flickering low fuel light. After I put the fuel pump back in I hooked up the tablet through Buell tooth and checked my error messages. The only one that was showing...

    Front rotor alignment mark?

I don't think I've been above 120, so I should be in good shape! A friend of mine put them in his bike & he thinks they're great. The Dunlops that were on this bike never gave me a feeling of confidence, especially on anything beyond a damp road. I'm trying a set of Road 6's and am hopeful that...

    Front rotor alignment mark?

Thank you for the response. I can't tell if they aligned the new tires when they put them on the rims. I'm going to give the balancing beads a try.

    Front rotor alignment mark?

I'm swapping out the wheels on my XB12S. The wheels I picked up don't have any of the hardware on them, so I moving the brake rotors from my old wheels to the new (to me) ones. The manual states that there should be some sort of reference dot on the front rotor that lines up with the valve stem...

    2008 XB12R 20K miles in Ohio $3,500

I found the plug under the front but the only one I could find is definitely a different shape than the one for my 05 XB12S. If I know for sure that it is the same I can go and dig around until I find the right one.

    2008 XB12R 20K miles in Ohio $3,500

I'm listing this bike for a friend. It is a 2008 with 20,500 miles. My friend bought it in late May. He purchased it from the original owner. After purchasing it he's ridden it twice and decided that a Firebolt isn't the most comfortable thing to ride... The good: It's is basically a one...

    New isolators

I make molds and cast urethane parts at the shop on a regular basis. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.

What is the best way to turn off the seat heater?

sounds like fun to me...as long as you're able to ride slow enough for someone like me to keep up

What is the best way to turn off the seat heater?

Finally rode Ohio 555 this past Saturday. The ironic thing is I waited until it was in the 50's to do it. I ended up putting the low seat back on and was very happy to have a heated seat....

    Rear Brake Question

I'll remember that when I'm ready for fronts as I'd rather send $ to you rather than Mr Bezos.

Just ordered a set from Amazon. Thanks for the help.

    Rear Brake Question

The other day I noticed that it seemed like I had almost no rear brake stopping power. I don't use the rear brakes much except when coming to the final few feet at a stop sign or light. T thought that my pads might have glazed over so I took them off and sanded them on a flat surface. No...

What is the best way to turn off the seat heater?

I rode a little under 250 miles this weekend including a stop and go trip through parts of Columbus. The mods all seemed to help tremendously. My son and I rode down to The Throttle Company for their vintage bike show. Besides my Lightning there was a XB12X & a nice S3T there. On my way home...

What is the best way to turn off the seat heater?

The summer after that picture as taken we decided to see if I could pull a friend of mine across his pond on a kneeboard. His dad took a video of it. After I pulled him across the pond I let him get on my sled and ride it across.......... This was quite a few years ago as all of the little...

What is the best way to turn off the seat heater?

One of the guys in our group didn't quite make it across that river. He had the same feeling.

What is the best way to turn off the seat heater?

Off topic, but after some reflection I recall a few times I kind of combined boat activities while snowmobiling.

What is the best way to turn off the seat heater?

I rode for about 2 hours yesterday. Temps about 85 or so. I think the combination of all of the stuff has made a positive difference.
