WTB - XB12XT stock windshield or Madstad

Looking for the taller clear version, or the 20" height Madstad system. Thanks!

    Reliability XB12XT

Welcome! Having some idea of how well maintained it was, and any history of problems from the bike's current owner would be helpful. I just purchased a 2009 XT with about 40K miles on it, but the owner (a professional mechanic and motorcycle guy) was very thorough with maintenance and...

I’m new to the forum and I’m getting my first Buell.

Very clean bike! It looks like it has the lower (XT) seat on it? That would make sense since you are close to getting both feet flat at 5' 8". My local Buell service guy tells me (at 6' 3") that he thinks the X seat is tall.

I like it a lot! To me it is very BMW Boxer-twin like (with the understanding that my newest one will be 30 next year) but much more nimble and better suspended. Did you get an X or XT?

    Trading down - XB12X to XB9

Just bought a 2009 XB12XT. The lower-than-X seat is perfect for me at 5' 9". Haven't ridden it in really hot weather yet (give that a few weeks!) but the heat is tolerable in 80 degree weather with the "Rider Comfort Kit", the extra right side air scoop. Don't know if your bike has this, or...

    Potential XB12XT buyer

Thanks for the replies. There is a small gap between the fly screen and the current short windshield but I gather that is not enough of a gap for a larger shield.

    Potential XB12XT buyer

Thanks for the comments. Been on a couple short rides with it and the best thought that comes to mind is the bike is "of a whole"; the brakes, handling, power and suspension all work in harmony, as if one person was in charge of making sure everything did. Wonder who that might have been? :)...

    Potential XB12XT buyer

Good morning, semi-short time member and first post. Am looking at a 2009 XT that can be easily found with an online search. 39K miles, well-maintained, drive belt and brakes replaced at 29K miles, all rear wheel and front wheel bearings replaced, and belt idler bearing replaced. Buell...
