XB9SX Parts and Factory Race Muffler

Thanks for your interest! I do currently have one person interested in the whole lot, so I'm going to hold out for that sale. If that does not go through, I will let you know.

XB9SX Parts and Factory Race Muffler

*sold* XB9SX Parts and Factory Race Muffler Hi guys, I sold my XB9SX and now ride a Triumph Street Triple 675. I'm keeping my eye out for a cool Buell project bike near me, though. I thought I'd save these parts from my last bike, but at this point (and with a baby on the way) I have no idea...

My 06 City X near Dallas

Looking clean. Love the City X platform, even if it is just a Lightning with hadguards.

My guess is an optimistic 96HP at the wheel.

Torque Wrenches and Actual Torque Applied

I feel like this is every PO of every bike I have ever owned. I gotta look for one of those next time I stumble upon a yard/estate sale with a lot of tools.

Torque Wrenches and Actual Torque Applied

Hi guys Recently this video came up in my Youtube feed: I thought it was pretty interesting, and validating of my own Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Torque wrench that I've owned for probably a decade now. The most interesting thing I found was how torque readings are skewed when applying...

Going to be looking for a few xb12ss 09. Parts.

If the intake boot/velocity stack isn't different from year to year or model to model, I should have one of those for you off an '03 xb9 motor.

I had a feeling it wasn't all that. I know less than zero about racing, but I did look at the XBRR pictures and it didn't seem to match up totally.

    CRA #1 (CoOters song)

Dude, that was hilarious and awesome. Must have taken forever to make.

    Remove rear wheel bearings questions

Do what I did and go to Autozone and rent their loaner tool. It's not called a bearing puller, but it functions like a slide hammer with expandable end pieces that fit inside the bearings. It worked for me much better than anything else I tried, and its free once you return it and get your loan...

    XB9S Motor Uses

I can only say that would be quite a benefit to any motorcyclist! :tongue-new:

    XB9S Motor Uses

Barrett, thanks for that advice. I think you are the dose of realism I need in order to balance Cooter's unrelenting optimism. Neither of which are bad things! I'll need to look into it further and see exactly what it's going to take, so I can properly gauge whether the rebuild path is going...

    XB9S Motor Uses

I think that's what I'll be going for. Nothing too crazy, just a nice relaxed rebuild. No doubt, you'll hear form me on this subject at a later date. Appreciate the advice, Gentlemen!

    XB9S Motor Uses

I don't consider myself hosed. I can remove the front and rear isolators at least, and part out the rest, probably making back the original $250, don't you think? But I might just decide to rebuild it. I've attempted an engine rebuild before on an old Honda, and never was able to complete it...

    XB9S Motor Uses

Well, I can't post the videos, because I actually don't own something that can read a micro SD card at the moment. However, I can say for certain the this engine will not run. The rear cylinder and piston look all good, but the front piston is completely missing, and the rod has scratched some...

    XB9S Motor Uses

Boom, done. Like I needed another excuse to buy one of these. I got one with the screen built in, because I'd rather drop a $40 gadget in the garage than my (admittedly cheap, but still relatively expensive) cell phone. I'll check it out after work later. I assume what I'm looking for is...
