    XB Fighter

This project was sold and picked up yesterday. I've moved on past it.

    Update your XB's handlebar controls!

Good memory. I cant remember when I had that done. It's been a while and I still ride it that way.

    Project advice

I usually sit back an look at my Buells and see whats eating me most about how they look or function. I usually let that process in the back of my mind until I find a solution. You do that enough and you've changed the whole bike. Sometimes it helps to look at other bikes Buells or not to see...

EBR Front Wheel Swap to XB

    1. Correct. I did not use any spacers outside the hub. The adapters did the spacing. The internal spacer between the bearings is the EBR one that came pre-installed in the wheel. 2. The inner diameter was left unchanged at 25mm.

EBR Front Wheel Swap to XB

I dont know what phelans measurements were. Otherwise I would have used them. I based mine off how the front brake rotor sat on the original XB rim.

EBR Front Wheel Swap to XB

By not touching the seal, I meant they clear like they should. They do clear the caliper as well. When moving the bike around, there's no scrubbing sound of the caliper. I haven't ridden the bike lately. My girl has been with me lately and she prefers the Harley. Then I bought a new Tesla...

Let's see. Today it was installing some new pegs. They finally all match. Now to cleanup the mounting blocks where I had to grind them down to fit.

I wasnt excited about the price at first. Then I installed one on my Harley. These are cut from a solid piece of billet. The price seemed to make sense when I think of other parts I bought machined that way. The filtering system Is removable and has a magnet and allows you to inspect what is...

I cant help but to wonder why the Uly pegs weren't made interchangeable with the other XB's when so many of the parts are interchangeable between the Buell bikes.

Its about time to change the oil. I picked up a reusable oil filter kit from K and P engineering. This one has the anodized finish. In case anyone else wants one. Here's the link: https://guruedgear.com/k-and-p-engineering-oil-filters-s9.html I might get around to the oil change this...

Thanks For the kind words Cooter. When I installed the Uly rear sets, it dropped the pegs about 3” from standard R/S rear sets. That was way to low. The side of my foot would touch on a mild corner. So I bought some of 40mm pegs and put put hem in the raised position. Which made them the...

You know I'm glad you made that observation. That fender does seem to sit higher than others I've had. I've wondering if there are different part numbers for a black fender.

I got the EBR wheel installed on the XB. You can read how I did that here: https://www.buellxb.com/forum/showthread.php?56290-EBR-Front-Wheel-Swap-to-XB&p=622274&posted=1#post622274 Here's the pictures of it all complete.

EBR Front Wheel Swap to XB

They installed in the wheel with no problem. They are close but not touching the bearing seal I installed everything on the bike and torqued the axle down. It all moves freely.

EBR Front Wheel Swap to XB

Here's the thicker of the 2 adapters. The overall diameter was changed to 36mm same as the other one. And the thickness of the shoulder was reduced to 6.5mm.

EBR Front Wheel Swap to XB

Today I got the tire mounted to the rim. I also had the local machine shop mill down the adapters. I asked for the overall diameter to be reduced to 36mm on both pieces. Here's the thinner of the 2 parts. Only the overall diameter was changed to 36mm.

EBR Front Wheel Swap to XB

I know. I saw that thread. It was an inspiration for me to do it. However, as I began with in the beginning post, this has already been done before. I just didn't see any specifics for anyone else to do it as well. Thats why I'm running this thread.
