    EBR SX-

Anyone notice from the other pics the key goes in the side like the XBS's. I dig it.

    Will EBR make an air-cooled?

I talked to my local Duc dealer and within the next few years you won't even see air-cooled Duc's anymore. The new Monster is showing the direction that they are going. With the government limiting emissions in cars and the introduction of CAFE, I am willing to bet you won't any or very few...

    KTM 1290!

Have fun trying to get one. People that put deposits on them are getting very upset. They kept getting the run around saying 1 week every week for a few months now and now they are delayed for who knows how long. 2 of my friends just went with RC8R's after getting sick of waiting. At the...

    Parts cross reference thread

I would recommend against going with this belt. I bought one and it snapped within 3000 miles. I got 15000 and 20000 from two different OEM ones from Harley. The 20000 one only broke because second gear locked up on me. If I were you I'd just get the Harley one from somewhere. May be...

Another stator check most people may not do...

Yes it was. I've put about 1000 miles on it already and hasn't gone below 13.9V in hot traffic idling. Everything seems to be running good now.

    Problem at 10,000 miles

There is a 10k service but all I did was change the oil in the forks, bike, and primary and rode on. Up to almost 40k and that's all I've pretty much done. I did do the rocker box gaskets when I went into the trans and had to buy a gasket set anyways.

Front wheel wobble under hard acceleration

You might be lifting the front off the ground ever so slightly. I do this on my 1125 every once in a while from hard acceleration. I'd definitely reset your suspension and if it still does it try doing it with a little less throttle and see if it stops.

Another stator check most people may not do...

Its cool. This is what replaced it. Went with the new option from Ricks and the CE605SB regulator and the oiling rotor. Doesn't dip below 14V now.

Another stator check most people may not do...

I'm not sure you guys are understanding the point of the thread. I know this stator is fried. I tested it and it tested bad which is why it was pulled from the bike. I'm only pointing out testing the phases to ground because it's not a check I typically see people telling people to check...

Another stator check most people may not do...

It is fried but it's only grounded to the ring at that one little spot. The black crud is where the oil stained the stuff that Ricks puts on to the windings. It had clumps on the one side like they had it sitting on something. Everything besides the little burned area where the copper hits...

How reliable is your XB12X, R, and S?

I have an XB9S with almost 40k on it. I ride it everyday rain cold or shine. It has started all the down to -7 degrees. It has been through some crazy rain, extreme heat and has never missed a beat. On that note, I've blown second gear, snapped a belt, and blew a voltage regulator. There...

    Liscence plate/blinker set up

Here is my XB setup. It's just an angle piece and I bent the plate around it to get it to angle down the tail. I had it straight but hit a corner pretty hard and hit a bump and the back tire hit the plate. I did this to get it out of the way of doing that again. I don't run blinkers but you...

Another stator check most people may not do...

I was having a charging issue and after doing some checks had figured it to by my voltage regulator. Well after getting a new one and installing my bike still wasn't charging. Well after talking with Jack at Roadstercycle because I thought I got a bad regulator we determined my stator had went...

    Voltage Regulator Bracket...

The cable sleeve is rated for 750F. If they get to that temp then the wires are the least of my worries. Average motorcycle exhaust pipes get to an average of 600-700F from my research. Since the temp lowers as it radiates from the pipe I think it will be good. It doesn't come much closer...

    Voltage Regulator Bracket...

Just an update now that I'm finished with my setup. I ended up having a grounded out stator so had to get a new one. Finally buttoned it all up the other day so here is the final setup. I talked to Jack at Roadstercycle and discussed this setup with him and he believes even with the exhaust...

    EBR 1190 poll

I talked to them at Daytona also. They said they will be releasing the SX in June. They said they are still experimenting with different front ends and getting it to look clean with no fairings but they said there are prototypes floating around their plant. They said once the design is...

    tires....asking opinions!

I just went to Pilot Road 4's on my XB. So far liking them. Rode in a pretty good downpour the other day and rode awesome through the rain. I run Angel GT's on my 1125 and so far liking those. If you want mileage go with the GT not the ST. I barely got 3000 miles out of an ST. The GT I've...

holy crap is that what you look like.

Here is me hauling ass. Riding my friends Duc. Stopping for some cotton candy. Admiring the horses. Riding the beast.

    Narrowed down to voltage reg.

I blew mine last year and I don't think they even sell the old one. You have to upgrade and it's pretty simple putting a new connector on the one side since the new regulator will have the other side. Like what was said before test both and see which isn't working.
