    broken exhaust studs

Just curious, my XB has backed out stud since the day I bought it. This weekend, it broke one off instead. I think thinking about ordering titanium bolts from Yoyodyne and threading them into the head. Anyone ever try doing this? Seems like exhaust studs breaking is a fairly common issue.

    buell in penthouse

I can't wait to explain that to my wife. I can hear her now with her friends, "so, he comes home with a Penthouse because there's a motorcycle interview in there." "Like that's the reason," says a friend. "No, sadly, that is the reason."

    Intermittent Brake Problems.

I thought so at first too. But it just seemed so random. So I put a zip tie on the brake lever yesterday and left it open, hoping an airbubble would go through the master. No luck. But I found a bunch of brake fluid on the tube. It's a tiny hole. There's no noticeable loss of fluid in the cup.

    Intermittent Brake Problems.

Found my problem. The tube failed to the reservoir. It caused a small leak and would allow it depressurize when it sat.

    Intermittent Brake Problems.

So here's the story. In May I boil the brakes and lost them at Summit Point. I changed the pads and the fluid and the bike was okay at the next Summit round. Go to NJMP, brake fade again. But it was consistent. Go back to Summit, brakes are fine for practice. I go to grid up, lever slams to the...

    Whats my Buell weigh?

Mine weighed 413 on a certified scale with about a quarter tank of gas. No street gear. The lightest Buell weighed that weekend that I heard of was 389. I'd guess a street Buell is probably 425-440 pounds depending on how full the tank is.

    Vinyl Decals

you can email Chris Kruzel at DrippinWet. His email is kruzel(at)drippinwet.com The only thing I'll tell you is that he is currently in Mid Ohio for the AMA weekend. But if he has access to email, I'm sure he'll answer. He work is top notch and is on a good number of AMA bikes in the paddock.

    Buell MONSTER???

I wasn't expecting that either. It's funny, but a friend and I both owned Ducati Monsters and people would say, "nice Buell" to each of us all the time. I was expecting something like that.

You might be a Buell owner if...

Parts have fallen off your bike and you don't get pissed because you half-way expect it. You've actually replaced valve springs and still make fun of your friends on Ducatis for their stupid valve train. You have an exhaust on your bike that no one can give you a straight answer on what it's...

New EBR rotor on order, which pads?

I have Galfer pads in mine and I like them a lot. I'd also recommend changing your brake fluid as well. I put Motul 5100 in mine. I can't say anything bad about the EBC's I used before, but I can't seem to find the GFA pads for six piston calipers. When I changed my rotor, I found the...

Back in the day, the claim was that the XBRR motor used melted sportster cases poured into different molds.

    Rear exhaust

Thank you. That's way more work than I was hoping for, but seems like it would take less than an hour and a half or so. I need to get my shock serviced anyway.

    Rear exhaust

My rear header backed off, any tips on how to get the header away from the cylinder far enough to see if I blew out the gasket. And any tips on getting my header bolts back on?
  18. T

    Lots of back fire

Make sure your header bolts are tight and that there's no air gaps in the system

    Need a double bubble

You can get a clear one through EBR and back paint it if you don't need to see through it.

    exhaust pipe damaged

If it's cannister, you can buy a replacement cannister. Just call Vance & Hines in advance to make sure you get the right can. http://m.motorcycle-superstore.com/ItemPage.aspx?DivisionGroupId=1&DivisionId=4&DepartmentId=378&ItemStyleId=30960
