    Transmission Repair

Sorry to hear about your trans issues. You are very correct to not continue to try and ride. Very bad things can happen if you bend the shift forks further. Not allot of details here, but I did the repair you are talking about myself. Take a look here for some small details...

    wet spots

While you are there, you can re-route the rocker vent lines out of your intake to the external breather setup. There is a great thread on here for that too. Sure is easier to do when you have the engine swung down for maintenance.

    Left side scoop.. Worth it?

I live in the southeast and it's an absolute must have. I used to just drive down the freeway and when I got off, my fan would kick right in. Now, the fan only kicks in when I'm in traffic. As said above, get it! It bolts right up. No modes necessary.

    firebolt so close

Shift return spring. Unfortunately, believe you have to remove the left side cover to see it. Think even worse is you have to pull the clutch to fix it.

    Tin Foiled the lights

If you did have to glue them... maybe a touch of high temp silicone? This is a great idea. Have my new headlight kit (light and relays) in hand and just need to open it up and fix.

    Shifter linkage screw/bolt fell off

Had exactly the SAME thing happen to me. I found a piece of 5 gal bucket handle at the end of the off ramp and was able to fashion a bent pin to get me home. (Sure am glad I have a multitool in the "trunk".

Shifting issues. Shifter lever assembly play(video)

Be careful about riding it as is... Mine was sort of messing, and then it LOCKED up... at 55mph!

Who is ready for the snow

I'm allergic to snow! Break out in goose bumps!!!! Living in southeast Georgia has it's benefits in the winter. In fact, I just got back from eating lunch at a nice little diner up the road. There and back on the ever faithful Firebolt!

Electrical Wizards Code Readers Fan Code???

I had a short in my fan wire where it rubbed and shorted. (Fuse was blown as a result too) Might want to look for that possibility as well.

    new

Buells are a fun past time. I love to ride and tinker/ wrench so it's a perfect match for me. They are WAY faster, BETTER handling, and have a HUGE cool factor compared to the Sporster... (Plus you can buy 2-3 Buells for what one of them danged HD's cost!) But then, I'm not biased or anything

firebolt xb12r went down hard, need parts help!

That sucks, asphalt rash is the worst. I welded a new bar out of a piece of chomoly I got from Aircraft Spruce Co. Someone else said they are on eBay now an then. Buelsterparts is another great source for parts.
