    Buell sighting - 05152014

About 7:30 this morning (05152014) on Atsion Road in South Jersey. I was the blue xb12r heading in the opposite direction of your xb12 / 9r.

Ich: Thanks for the help. Lunatic: Yeah, I ran it through a translator. I got the point.

    ECM maps comparison

Hey Everyone, I would like to compare some maps (reliable maps, no bullshit) that people have with similar setups to mine. By similar I mean the same type of mods, not the same exact manufacturer. This is strictly for comparison and analysis. I do not want to load other people's maps on my...

    Next step... logging and tuning

No offense taken. Again, I appreciate your input. The flat / surge happened the day after I ran the install. The first day was great but the ramp felt "sharper". I still feel I have the power only the ramp is a bit more even. I have to hook it up to see what the AFV and I think the value on...

    Next step... logging and tuning

qbalias: I am getting more power now that the headers and cans are on. I'm delving into the logging and tuning for one of two reasons. Either I'm doing this just to see what is going on and understand the internal working of the machine to better educate myself. Or, I'm performing these tasks...

    Next step... logging and tuning

Dean: I can absolutely feel the difference and it is great. qbalias: I have good power now. But before doing the TPS (which was because I was going flat then surging) the power ramp seemed to be "sharper" around 4k. Almost like I twisted the throttle quickly at that point although I hadn't...

    Next step... logging and tuning

A little background first: 2004 xb12r Dean Adams full exhaust (cans and headers) breather mod air box delete kit NGK iridium plugs dcpr8eix (I have a new set that I will be putting in before logging / tuning) ECMspy and hardwired to laptop Just did TPS reset My riding style I would say is...

    drummer and hawk mufflers

I highly recommend anything from Dean Adams. I just got a full exhaust from him and it is glorious. No blattiness or high frequency chatter. Very "guttural" low tone. Gets throatier on decel. I have noticed an increase in performance and I haven't even tuned yet.

    Wheel Balancing

Hey guys, I went with the Ride On. I'm keeping the speed down right now as I'm scrubbing in the new tires. I feel a huge difference. If it keeps going like this I will probably use Ride On exclusively. Thanks for the input everyone. Special thanks to Mt Holly Powder Coating and a huge...

Paint, Exhaust, happy as a clam...

Monkey: Not aftermarket. That was the stock pulley cover. I used a dremel to remove the center. The paint is going to be redone this was merely me testing technique. If I took pictures closer you would see the imperfections. I used Krylon Fusion. Next time around I will be doing it the...

Paint, Exhaust, happy as a clam...

Oh yeah, the obnoxious dent in the tank was from a previous owner and I fully plan on fixing that "blemish". More improvements to come. Rock on everyone. Watch yourselves out there.

Paint, Exhaust, happy as a clam...

Ok, so I'm finished with what I'm doing this year. Ok, maybe not. But I have finished what I planned to. Now I just want to ride till winter. Then the next step in the process. Exhaust: Dean Adams is the man. Firstly, he is a really nice person who doesn't understand the extra mile because...

    Wheel Balancing

06xbss: Didn't even think about the application of BB's. Maybe I'll try that. I have some laying around. You have never had a problem? I occasionally hit speeds around 130 / 140. But not for any extended period of time. Typically I'm between 80 / 100. You just put them inside the tire and...

    Tuning ECMSpy or other

I'm looking for any Buell people in the Greater Philadelphia (I'm in Maple Shade) area to hang out with. In addition, I could use some experienced help with tuning (using ECMSpy). If you have the knowledge and you are in the area PM me and let's get together. Thanks in advance, J

    Wheel Balancing

Hey Everyone, I have a question about balancing the front and rear wheels. I'm assuming they should be balanced with the rotor on the front and the rotor and pulley on the rear. Is that right? I'm sending parts out for paint and want to make sure balancing is done correctly afterward. I have...

    Grips and installation

Hey Everyone, I'm looking to get new grips. Perhaps something a bit larger in diameter. I wanted to know what people thought of these grips from ASB.http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/16241.html As far as installation goes; what mods, if any, need to happen to the...
