00' x1 tune for straight exhaust

There is a great thread about datalogging & tuning in the DIY sub forum, here: http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Do-It-Yourself-Buell-Mods/ECMspy-megalog-tunning

    just a couple questions

Yes, the valve train is very noisy on these bikes & that flat spot between 3&4k is there until you tune it out. Very good threads in DIY sub forum about using ecmspy & how to make your own fuel maps tuned to your specific bike.

Don't want to brick my ECM!

I think what is meant by "load race eeprom" is to open it up in ecmspy & save the maps from there. Then connect to the bike & load the maps from the race eeprom. Do that & you should be fine.

    x1 hard missfire at 2800-3100

Not sure, ask the original owner. Just make sure that port on the bottom of the TB is capped tightly... It sounds like you found the problem though. Get those wires fixed & go for a rip. Then re do your fuel maps, you won't regret it...

    x1 hard missfire at 2800-3100

I just looked in the S3 manual & I'm betting you have a CA spec bike. That hose is supposed to go from the charcoal canister to the bottom of the throttle body. If the port on the TB is not plugged, that could be a problem...

    x1 hard missfire at 2800-3100

Does it happen when the bike gets warmed up or is it always happening? That sounds somewhat similar to what my S3 did when the head temp sensor went bad. It would seem to run fine, then get hot & all hell would break loose! COughing, farting back through the intake, bucking, etc. Your AFV is...

    Race Exhaust Finally Complete!!!

Looks fantastic! I bet I'll end up having him make a system for me at some point.

    anyone have a race map for a 99 x1?

You have way more control over your tuning with FI. Get the TPS straightened out, do some datalogging, run the logs through MLV VEanalyzer & make custom maps for your setup. You won't believe the difference it makes...

    Carb Tuning Help

    FWIW, I had a 99M2. I ran a 185 main & I was pretty close to sea level.

    anyone have a race map for a 99 x1?

It's not a problem to load the maps but th entire eepromm is another story.

    anyone have a race map for a 99 x1?

Actually, mine is a 2000 as well, now that I look at it but it should be about the same, I think. No?

    ECMspy, megalog tunning

Crescent -Can you give a bit more info as to how you loaded the race maps? Did you first pull a copy of your eeprom & save it in a safe place? As for the logging problem, you need to look in the megalog folder. If you don't see that folder, re-install ecmspy to your desktop. On my windows 7...

    anyone have a race map for a 99 x1?

I've got that map. PM me your email address & I'll get it to you. This map is an ok place to start but you should read the megalog tuning thread in the DIY mod forum. It will teach you how to make your own custom maps. It is well worth the effort. I can't believe what a huge difference it made...

    ECMspy, megalog tunning

Thanks for this guide!! I just did maps for my S3 based off a 15 minute log. I had been getting a head temp sensor alarm (not anymore -get to that shortly)but figured I'd give it a shot just to get the process down. I'm running a race air cleaner setup & a supertrapp w/21 discs & race ecm...

    EcmSpy megalog logging problem

It's windows 7 & I couldn't find the folder whenit was installed in c:/programs/x86 or something like that. Funny thing was, if I clicked Extras then Demo, I could run the logs in EcmSpy but couldn't move them. I hope to spend Friday creating some new maps. Man, I thought I'd prefer a carb over...

    EcmSpy megalog logging problem

Thanks guys! I tried dragging & dropping but that didn't work -the program had no words when I opened it. Then I uninstalled & reinstalled to desktop & the megalog folder is there. Hopefully, I can get a chance to try it out tomorrow. Thanks again!

    EcmSpy megalog logging problem

I posted this in the tuber forum but came up empty, hoping for a better result here... Hey there, I'm new to this forum & am hoping someone can help me. I'd like to make custom fuel maps for my S3 using EcmSpy & Megalogviewer. Problem is, I appear to be logging but can't find the file...

    EcmSpy logging problem

Hey there, I'm new to this forum & am hoping someone can help me. I'd like to make custom fuel maps for my S3 using EcmSpy & Megalogviewer. Problem is, I appear to be logging but can't find the file afterward. The filepath shows that the folder should by in the x86/ecmspy folder in the c:/...
