    Clubman bars

I bought mine from Dime City Cycles, 5 yrs go. They were reasonable, like $85 or so

    Headlight conversion

I have a need to replace my low beam headlight, looking to replace it with a LED conversion rather than a Halogen. There will probably have to have a resistor installed in the circuit for lowering the voltage from 12v to 5v. My question is are there any ready made 5v conversion kits? High Beam...

    New Motorcycle

I'm right there with ya thrstrmech. I'm not much on the CR front end or the 1125R, the bolt is ok for me but I see theoctopus's point it does kind of look like it's appliqued onto the front of a Lightning. I have always thought that lowers LOOK better on a bolt to tie it all together...

    bwahahahahahah

Under redundant in the dictionary, it says "see redundant"! I though our whole bike was one big seat heater in the first place.

    Bars

I just put on Emgo clubman bars, with 2.5" risers. Fits me perfectly!

    Customizing/Modifying XB12Ss

Well, now that you've run the gauntlet. LOL I knew it wasn't going to be pretty when you started ta;king about stretching and the like. Advice, if this isn't your kind of bike, sell it, don't hack it up. These bikes are only going to diminish in numbers and hacking up a perfectly good one does...

    v-twin torque+tight canyons=tire abuse

Right on, way to knuckle up ace! I HATE the fact that I have spent more miles on the center section of my tires than the sides. I freakin love the twisties, but unfortunately we have all of about ONE decent road in Indiana for the twistie bits. Not one single mountain in this whole friggin...

    FINALLY got her done.

LOL! Thanks for all the compliments, my mental image of my bike and the reality of what she looks like now match. I have taken all the other reflectors off and was a bit cautious about taking ALL of them off for the sake that I have already been in two close calls. Visabilty to 4 wheel vehicles...

    FINALLY got her done.

OK I have been gathering parts for the last two years and finally came along the extra cash I needed to get the last couple of items I needed to get all the mods done at once. SO, here she is boys. At the point these pics were taken I hadn't yet recieved the bar end mirrors and I still had to...

Available in USA? How much if not?

That airbox is only available from Adrenaline moto, it has a matching tail piece that looks absolutely badass together. I'd LOVE to get myself a set of these but the price is just as badass as it looks. I would get the airbox cover if they are still available.

    When do you stop riding?

I'm in Indiana and I generally ride until it gets down to about 40', after that my hands get too cold for me to feel safe about holding on to the grips. And truth be told I 'm not too comfortable riding with cold tires, it makes her feel squirrelly since i put the clubman bars on.

    XB9S - XB12S Questions

I agree with Hooker, I'd get a 9 and a good deal and then you can mod it. I have an '03 XB9S, with the factory race pipe and ECM. My 9 is faster off the line than my neighbor's XB12R, I lead all but the last 50 yards of a quater mile on him. I have owned my bike since '05, I bought it on eBay...

    Buying wrecked buell not running

Glad you got it running. I have an extra Lightning tail pan that I didn't use for my tail chop. I also have a cheese grater I'll sell you. If you need them me know, you'll still need the seat rails but I can"t help you with those.

    found behind pulley cover

Dude, where has your bike been? That is one sophisticated mouse trap you have there. Hmmm So, either he had to have climbed up there after your belt and got stuck or he was on his way to the yummy wiring under your seat and you surprized him while he was on your belt. Either way its a fatal fail...

    other than motorcycle winter projects

garyphantom222 my winter project is a KZ650 cafe bike .I saw yours is a KZ550, we will have similar issues and problems because our bikes are similar. We should post updates or find some way to keep track of each others build. I think we should have a separate cafe project section on here where...

    Isle of Man videos

Yeah, that dude laid over on a curve in a power wheelie is off the chain. The TT is a time trial but the Ulster GP in Ireland ISN'T. This is true road racing throught the country roads and villages of Ireland and you'll see the starting grid. Many of the same riders that ride the TT ride in the...

    Clubman

I just put Emgo clubman bars on my XB9S and I love them. The riding position is about 3-4 inches lower than the stock riding position but part of that is the risers I had to use to mount the new bars. I bought 2.5" risers, you could use a shorter riser but I would say it needs to be taller that...
