    Comfort Kit?

Speaking of comfort kits and heat shields...does anyone have one of the Spec Ops or similar heat shield/blankets? I have a family member who is good with sewing and I may try to get a nicely sewn one made for my '06 12S. A pattern would make it easy to make a few...

    Going crazy! Need speedo help!

My buddy has a very similar issue on his 05 XB9Sx. We have traced the wires in the head unit and checked the speedo, also, but haven't found any irregularities. Please let us know what the problem is as soon as you can or have corrected it.

    White wheel cleaning tricks???

Before you take the bike out again, apply a good wax coat to it. It prevents water spots and helps in taking the dirt off. Then, you reapply the wax occasionally, after a cleaning.

    Purchasing Advice

As long as you're comfortable with the work he had done on it. The exhaust can be scrapped for a Drummer, Dean Adams, etc. The fact that it is not tuned sounds good, to me, simply because nobody has tapped into the ECM and messed with it. As far as the mileage goes, my '06 12S has ~27k on it...

    Powdercoating Amber Wheels

I'm sure the bracket wouldn't be hard to machine out, so long as you design your own. Have access to caad software or a machinist? I think the forum may be working on stuff like this right now: Machinist Thread

Rear hidden caliper bracket is sold at ASB only (unless you find a used one). Their ref. number is #9254. Do you have the correct caliper and brake line?

    cnc machinist

All of this would be easy (and fun) to draw up in caad, but the problem is in stuff like patents. If I remember correctly, there was a guy who was machining the hidden rear calipers and was contacted by Dark Horse (when they owned the patent) to stop. If I'm wrong, someone, please feel free to...

Cooter, you ought to start writing your own shop manual. Great write-up! +1

That looks great! I really like the helmet lock, but the pulley looks wicked. I could easily mock up some solidworks files of parts. I could help wherever after this semesters' projects (I've got 3 project-based classes that require tons of time) on designs.

    cnc machinist

NICE! I, luckily, have access to this at school. What kind of parts were you thinking of machining?
