random sputter, check engine light, weird idle

Check your spark plug wires and the boots on both ends. Look closely for any wear or cracks in the boots. Sounds like you could be throwing spark which would cause those symptoms.

    Blast for sale. Fair price?

@BuellRiderX Its hard to be the judge when you leave out the year, mileage, condition, mods, and aftermarket parts of your bike. Wouldn't you agree?

    Blast for sale. Fair price?

My buddy is looking at buying a 2006 Buell blast. Clear title. It has a Vance and Hines exhaust and new Pirelli tires. ~2900 miles. The guy is asking 2400. Haven't done much research into blast. What do you guys think?

Time to come out of the shadows!

Hey man congratulations! I had a similar experience with seeing my first Buell up close and deciding right then and there that I had to have one. I was 13 and my buddy's older brother had what I believe was an x1. 10 years later I finally got an xb13Ss. Congrats!

    Hawk performance exhaust

Yeah I noticed the exhaust leak also and that was there after ONE startup. I didn't even ride the bike yet. I didn't start the thread to piss and moan or attack hawk. And I'll take form>function 100% of the time. That being said I do agree with rchuff and onelogue. I was under the impression...

    Hawk performance exhaust

Hahaha right? Well what's done is done. Next time I have my bike apart I'm gonna cut it apart and redo all the welds. As of now I'm just trying to get everything back together. The Michigan winter is breaking. You're from the mitten, right?

    Hawk performance exhaust

Here are a few pics of the welds I'm disatisfied with. Kona-my muffler was also shipped while the paint was still tacky and the packaging got glued to it. That's a bug he will probably work out haha. But come on...seriously?

    Hawk performance exhaust

Just got my muffler back from Randy. I would agree with everyone that he is a great guy. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Haven't gotten my bike back together yet but one thing that irks me is that the welds are absolutely horrible. Very messy with spackle everywhere. I dont know if he has an...
