    Just did a 2000 mile roadtrip on the Lightning.

    I had similar issues on my 2006 Ss. Found 2 issues. First is that the lever pivot lube had dried out. Fresh lube helped a lot. Also found that pivot bushing had enlarged overtime and didn't hold the lever securely, Haven't replaced it yet, but it is on the list.

    Looking to go back to stock style mirrors...currently have bar-ends but find them too small for good visibility and too big for good maneuverability. Anybody have a recommendation? or selling stock ones? didn't see anything too tempting on ebay.

    Thanks for the info...I took the wheels off myself. Wasn't there when I started. Anybody have the dimensions (thread and length) for replacement?

    Recently got my XB12ss out two years worth storage and gave her some new shoes. It looks like there is a threaded hole on the right swingarm underside. There is no bolt in it on my bike. My manual is still in storage. Is this a pinch bolt for the rear axel?
