Can I bore my stock cylider to 3.563 to match the 1050 piston? Hammer Performance said no?

XB9 CAM BUSHINGS - REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE?

Thanks squid - I went to the HD dealer here today and we found these part numbers in the Sportster manual not the Buell manual - make sense? Same cam bearings in a Sportster? Why don't they list them in the Buell catalog? Also - any chance you made a typo and 25599-91 should be 25588-91...

Hey guys - just realized my cam bushings are shot in the case but it doesn't look like HD sells a service part? Now what?

XB9 Oversized Pistons - PART NUMBER?

Anybody know if there is an OS piston for the XB9 and if so what the part number is? Looks like I got some bad info from my dealer and I ended up with 22246-04 +.010 pistons that are flat topped unlike my domed XB9 pistons. What do these pistons fit? Also where can I find a parts manual just...

    XB9 Cams common with ???

Still trying to figure out whether or not to rebuild my 2007 XB9 5600 mile basket case. All 4 cams suffered damage from the spent rear rod bearing. I don't want to dump a ton of money into a big bore high HP rebuild now, I just want to get back out and ride so if I can get my hands on 4 good...

XB9 Oil Pump same as ???

I assume you mean bronze drive gear on the crank not on the oil pump? If so, yes my 2007 has the bronze drive gear which still looks ok. Pump just does not look salvageable after eating the remains of my rear rod bearing.

XB9 Oil Pump same as ???

Looking for a used oil pump for my engine rebuild, can anyone confirm if the XB9 pump is the same as XB12 or any standard HD parts?

    XB9 Oversized Piston Available?

Anybody know if Harley made and still sells a 10 over piston for the XB9? Parts manager at American Harley in North Tonawanda spent alot of time looking for me but couldn't give me a difinitive answer. He looked up pn 22246-04 based on stock pn and normal iteration HD uses for OS pistons and...

    2007 XB9s 5600 mile Engine Rebuild - Knock,Knock...

Crash - thanks for the input, I figured out what you meant when I got home tonight, with no special tools, just like you said. Got the case split and crank out - now I need to assess all the carnage and figure out what it's going to cost me. Any advice on how to flush the oil tank? I don't...

    2007 XB9s 5600 mile Engine Rebuild - Knock,Knock...

Thanks guys - I haven't given up hope yet that it can be rebuilt but you guys get dibs on parts if I change my mind. This is my first V-Twin crankshaft removal so pardon my ignorance but in order to split the case to get the CS out it seems like the front drive sprocket needs to come off? And...

07 XB9sx Running Rough after starting with Muffler Removed

Thought I would follow up on this, lunatic was on the money with the plugs - replaced them and it ran good as new. Those were better days - if you read this follow my latest posting and you'll see what I mean...

    2007 XB9s 5600 mile Engine Rebuild - Knock,Knock...

Well the Buell kicked my butt tonight. Need "special tools" to get any deeper into it (front sprocket nut and clutch remover) and I found gnarly damage in the oil pump and all four cam lobes. Starting to look like it's going to cost more than it's worth to rebuild it - maybe I should cut my...

    2007 XB9s 5600 mile Engine Rebuild - Knock,Knock...

Here are a few pictures - trying to take alot so I remember how it goes back together. First thing I bought after it started knocking was the factory repair manual - one of the most detailed I have used. Did not get the case split last night like I was planning, hopefully tonight although I...

    2007 XB9s 5600 mile Engine Rebuild - Knock,Knock...

07 XB9Sx bought it 3 months ago stock with ~5100 miles on it. Rode it ~500 miles and it developed a severe knock the day I passed my road test. Tore it down and found the rear crank to piston rod bearing severely worn and pistons and cylinder bores scored. Planning to split the case tonight so...
