    Heya Dannenvance, Thanks for the step by step. I just chopped my 2003 xb9s stock pipe and used your method except I kept the very back end section, cut the outlet hole as wide as the stock outer outlet and welded the stock outlet back on. Sounds EPIC. As you say its LOUD but just a few Db lower...

    Hi dudes, I just did a very similar mod to Skidude's one on my 2003 xb9s. Now have a flat spot around 3 - 4k. What would be my best / simplest approach to rectifying this? Thanks a mill, Mick.

    did yiz have a backplate behind the strip which it was stuck to or did you glue the strip to the surround of the cut? :)
