    My new-to-me project 1125R

R6 block off plates will sort of fit the 1125 fairing. I forget what year I’m using on my race/track bike, but they do say R6 on them.

Nothing from my R3 fits my XB. I was just at Chuckwalla a couple weekends ago. So much for the “the fast guys hang around there” Unless you mean everyone else but me

    You’re doing it wrong

and CoOter finally shamed me into pulling the trigger on my Antigravity battery and frame/engine sliders. Am I the only one around here still planning on tracking a Buell? The only purchases I have left are a set of tank grips and new tires, and I should be ready to crash it.

    Keyless gas cap

I just heard this one the other day "booger sugar"

    No, that’s not the reason

    Keyless gas cap

You can take apart a XB fuel cap with a small pick, then you can remove the cylinder and knock out the wafers/tumblers and covert your keyed cap to keyless (but you need a screwdriver or something similar).

Use a piece of thin wwall brass tubing to reinforce the interior of the turn signal stalk. I think I got mine at Ace. Also, I think Twin sells a “reinforcement” that fits in the grooves of the flexible part of the lamp.

Shut it CoOter! What do you really know about riding fast anyhow?

2009 Buell XB12SCG, Runs rough when warm

I was kidding about your being CoOter (and trolling us). I don’t know why I didn’t run your files through megalogviewer. As soon as you mentioned it, I thought “Duh! What is wrong with me!” The additional info is helpful to ruling out other possibilities. I will have to crack open my service...

2009 XB12R -Wiring Issue? Need Help

1, get your battery load tested. 12.7v doesn’t mean your battery is good. 2. Bypass your factory grounds. Use a jumper cable or similar

Assuming similar mechanical condition, keep an '06 or an '09?

I put an aftermarket steering stop on my R3 track bike. She needs a lot of room to turn when you can’t lean, like making a turning around in the paddock. CoOter rode my bike once at a trackday and was all “WTF!”

I think I was able to get a good bleed on mine without removing the caliper. I use fairly large syringe and carefully wrap some Teflon tape on the bleeder threads. I also remove the rear reservoir into a plastic bag and zip tie around the end. In my case, I wound up removing the rear reservoir...

Assuming similar mechanical condition, keep an '06 or an '09?

Are you referring to the "lock" that locks the steering in place when the key is set to LOCK and removed? or are you referring to the limited amount you can turn the forks from left to right? The first one can be undone. My bike had a Japanese ignition switch retrofitted to it, and the steering...

2009 Buell XB12SCG, Runs rough when warm

What are you putting these logs into? I tried putting them into TunerPro 4 and it isn't recognizing them. Let's break down what you have going on here: Yes, Buells usually have a very rich warm up cycle. It's one of the reasons why its not recommended to start the bike unless you're actually...

    New Buell for me.

No, I don’t. That’s kooky talk. Ever since “someone” got me into track riding that is.

I'm 2008 also. I'll put these down on the list of things to buy to finish my track bike. 1. Battery 2. Sliders 3. Tank grips

I think Sandro just posted on here that he is only doing ASV levers any more. And BTW... I already have Race Face on my mountain bike.

    New Buell for me.

So, I haven't posted much lately on this, but here is the completed Methbuell. Doesn't look half bad any more. I pulled the Forcewinder off it.

Your bike is 08-up right? I'll have to look them up and buy a set. I'll tell them you sent me and ask for a discount. Let me know if you want those plugs.
