    Tail lift/subframe spacers

I Have a set of blocks to lift the tail that were on the bike when I got it. They seem to go for $150 to $250 new. The ones I have are actually small castings, I'll take $75 plus shipping. (they are small and aluminum so that shouldn't be much.) They are in the picture located where the rear...

    Intermittent Valve or Chain Noise

I agree with Lunatic, wouldn't ride that thing 10 feet. Figure out how to get the oil pressure test done asap. a fitting, some hose and a gage, even a cheap one. So long as the range is appropriate as in it doesnt go up to 300 psi. You need a gage that tops out at 25 to 50 psi max. Re-read...

Can I have a minute from my fellow Buell family members please?

That was devastating to read about your better half. I admire your enthusiasm for a build but: I think time is more important. Don't take this the wrong way, but from the perspective of a person nearly twice your age, believe me you don't want to spend her valuable time waiting for you to build...

    STILL DOESNT RUN! XB9 PUZZLE

Last week I had a conversation with the service manager who was pissed at the service writer for allowing work to be done without a work order, (The work was the service writer promising to repair the fuel pump at his cost). The service writer called a few days later saying they were going to...

Bent steering stem, what to do?

I'd b concerned about cracks in the lower clamp as well. Depending on how bad it's bent, you may need to cut it off so it will press out with out messing up the lower. Alternatively the stem could possibly be straightened in a press but you would really need to know what the metal is first to...

    STILL DOESNT RUN! XB9 PUZZLE

I was thinking that should be on my "to do list". They want me to come by and sign a work order today and I was considering a talk with the top guy but I didn't know his name. Do you know if Mario is still the manager? And yes, this is an odd story. When they got it running, they supposedly...

    STILL DOESNT RUN! XB9 PUZZLE

I just had my first disagreement with my service writer, but it's ok. I don't think we are going to break up. Yet. He wanted me to sign a work order so his tech could get paid. Really, what happened to we are going to make this right and fix it without charge due to the fact you came 2 times...

    STILL DOESNT RUN! XB9 PUZZLE

Mrlogix, thanks, you are right on the money with that link, but Chickenstrips sent it first. I cut and pasted one of the pics from this into an email to my service writer with an explanation of how it all fits together. So as rchuff pointed out, all this is online if they really don't know how...

http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m589/snrusnak/CAM00196_zps69e20f38.jpg Here is the picture of the filter with the little bushing or piece of hose. Does anyone know if this is just hose? Sorry I can't seem to post the pic directly, you have to click the link.

    STILL DOESNT RUN! XB9 PUZZLE

Yes, this really is turning into a real cluster f%*&*. I've tried to type in everything that happened, but it is a bit much. I have to say it started out ok and Rich, my service writer did his best; and they almost had it ready in about a week. But when I went twice to pick it up without success...

    STILL DOESNT RUN! XB9 PUZZLE

Chicken, Your thread link shows what I'm missing! It just looks like a 1/2" piece of hose slipped over the filter, then the regulator slips over that. If the current hose on the pump assembly fits, they can use a piece of that. Seems simple, just a little puzzle with all the pieces present. Just...

    STILL DOESNT RUN! XB9 PUZZLE

I was a little flustered by the time I got them to show me the parts. Plus they were actually sitting on the page in the manual that shows the fuel pump. If I was calmer I could have seen that I was doing it wrong. The service writer was not the guy that I'd been working with and he kept saying...

    STILL DOESNT RUN! XB9 PUZZLE

I just realized when I was there I was trying to put the regulator over the pump which is wrong. The pump connects to the hose which goes to the "top" of the regulator and the large cavity at the other end of the regulator goes over the filter. My question is what fills the gap? a piece of fuel...
