    Tank bag?

    I disagree, I think the tank bag buell is very well made. It is actually quite large for a a tank bag, and secures easily for on and off use. Well worth the money.

    There are many bueller's that ride in Arizona, Nevada, and California that have had zero issues with heat. There is an aftermarket company that makes heat shields for under the air-box, and seat to keep the heat away from the rider. I have never really heard of overheating issues with the XB...

    needing a better tire

    Third for the Diablos, and that is what come stock on 07 buells, so your dealer is full of it if they say they can't get them.

    Engine required

    There are several Buell message boards some that have classifieds area. There is always engines that pop up. Some one with a little more tech knowledge might be able to help, but I believe that you are not limited to just that model, and that other model engines will also fit and hook right...

    New, asking possibly dumb questions.

    No one really touched on pipes. If you are looking for a louder, and better performance pipe there are many aftermarket choices. Special OPs by odie, Drummer by KDFAB, Jardine, Force, on an on. The force pipe I hear is very loud, and you have modest gains in performance.
