    He's dead, Jim.

I was waiting for this post, lol. Honestly, I got tired of server updates and having to roll-back python (java? sql? Hell I forget what it was) versions for vBulletin to stay operational. I still have everything and will rehost it, probably as phpbb. Closed membership so people can at least...

    I'm BACK

:applause: I re-read what I had typed, after I hit "Post" and thought, "f it, it'll get some giggles." :D

    I'm BACK

I haven't said anything else, because it would just be repeating what y'all're sayin', but then I thought about this... It could be a clogged petcock. It's an easy test, but tastes horrible. Disconnect the fuel line from the carb (valve off). Let it drain and air out for a minute. Now put your...

    Front Sprocket upgrade

Come around now and again, drop some wisdom, then disappear for a good long while. lmao

    I'm BACK

Stock Blast carb does not have a drain screw.

    Front Sprocket upgrade

If you run a wider pulley on the front, you need a custom pulley on the back to keep the belt straight. I have custom front pulleys. I've been there and done that and spent ungodly amounts of money on this **** trying too hard to do something different. Pay the $200 for the stock belt.

    James intake seals

I've never had issues installing James intake gaskets in-frame. I do have spindly fingers, though, which makes it a lot easier.

    exhaust

They're generally larger-than-ideal diameter. If you go 1.75"Ø, then you're seriously sacrificing low-end performance, which you're already hurting by putting on a straight-thru muffler. If you stay at 1.5"Ø, you're not getting the best flow at the very upper revs. I build mine with 1.625"Ø...

    exhaust

If you want quiet, you gotta go stock. Anything aftermarket is going to be a bit loud. If you insist on DIY, a 3-4" Supertrapp muffler (w/ 18+ discs) and a Jardine header should all bolt together. You may call Jardine directly to get the header pipe alone without the muffler. Beyond that...

    Instruments

Tachometers are pointless unless needing to diagnose a running condition, but even then you can still derive RPM from MPH.

Buell Blast running lights not working/ speedometer issues.

Check your voltage regulator for too much output. When it gets over 15v output, parts of the speedometer stop working.

Won’t start, won’t rev after fuel sprayed in to prime.

I've had California's E10 fuel sit in my carbs for years and not look like that. I don't think ethanol is to blame. Something is causing a chemical reaction for sure, though. Clean everything out and rinse it all out with gasoline to be sure there's no sediment or leftover chemicals to react.

Won’t start, won’t rev after fuel sprayed in to prime.

They can break, the wires can break, they can be set improperly. Open it up and test it.

    Buell blast V2 engine

Putting a v-twin in a Blast requires modifying the frame/oil-reservoir. If you're going to put that much effort into it, build something else, honestly.

New to me 2006 Buell Bast!

I heard my name. It's been a week or two, but here I am. lol Diggin' the comparison to an old MGB. I actually have a Blast engine in an XB frame and used to own a 65 MGB roadster. And yes, BuellRidersOnline.com has had registration turned off. I'm simply tired of moderating bots. I'm also so...

    Stator Replacement - Tools required.

That's me. I locked down BuellRidersOnline, I'm just tired of fighting bots and spam. Almost everything possible has been documented there, including turbo builds, if you use the built-in Google search on the home page. Otherwise I just cruise through here occasionally. PM is the quickest way...

    EBR Name change

It's actually not that difficult of a timeline to follow: LAP bought EBR when it went into receivership. LAP ran EBR this whole time, it was never shut down. LAP/EBR bought rights to the Buell name from H-D last year. LAP is rebranding EBR and Buell into a single MoCo.

Blast primary question: What is this?

I use calibrated fingers for tensioning the primary. Loosen that bolt until it damn-near falls out. Start turning it in with bare fingers until you feel it get constant tension. Back out until the constant tension stops, intermittent is fine. Lock it in place. Super scientific. Works every time.

    Stator Replacement - Tools required.

I just wanted to clarify this part. An "alternator" is an assembly of the stator, rotor, rectifier, and regulator. In regards to motorcycles, we refer to these individual components because they are tested and replaced separate from each other and are rarely packaged in an assembly or as an...

    Just bought my REV-MO Muffler

lol, a Shady Shrader product. Good luck. Don't use the tune. That's a 3.709" bore. Seems silly to go through the effort of case boring for a non-standard size bore and custom piston. Probably 1250 with a typo.
