    Transmission Fluid

Amsoil 20W-50 Synthetic, both holes, since 13,000kms. Now 54,000 kms, bike doesn't burn a drop of oil; oil always very clean, even when due for a change. And yes, it does reduce the "neutral to first" clunk somewhat.

    My Bike Coming Along

Awesome looking bike! Repsol Buell! Love the color of those wheels.

Did the planets align last night?

Awesome looking bike! No wonder you're in love! I know about the "stars aligning" feeling. I had that when I bought my '07 12R a few years ago. I wanted one in black\cherry bomb and checked it out at the dealership. Threw a leg over it, loved it instantly but no way could I afford it. Got...

    Creamsicle Buell Build

Thanks for the info. I think I've found a place up here in Canada that distributes TechSpec products. Are yours the Snake Skin grips?

BTW, where did you get those frame protector pads? They look great, and I'd like to get some for my 12R. Cover up the slightly bloomed paint from where my knees have rubbed on the frame.

Wow, for a "non-looker" it sure defies that description! Beautiful looking machine, and the EBR decals rock. Awesome job.

Noobie question: How do you wash your bike?

I make sure the water pressure from the hose is low, and I don't aim it at the wheel bearings, electrics and clutch cable boot. Never had any issues, just a nice, shiny 12R!

    Buell virgin...

Me too - from bitter experience!

    Forgot How Nice...

Ditto, all of the above! In my early 50's and 6'2", and I find my XB12R fits me like a glove! Absolutely love the riding position.

My Buell xb12 review after 1.5 years of ownership.

These bikes are an absolute addiction to those who have had the good fortune (and good sense) to take ownership of one. 3rd riding season on my '07 XB12R, and liking - no, LOVING it more with each ride! Unlike the OP, I have found the only folks who have snubbed my Buell are HD weekend warrior...

    Right side air scoop questions....

$43 from Surdyke.com Scoop - M0851.7AA Inner Scoop - M0852.7AA Plus 3 screws you can get from any hardware store for pennies, or pay $5 for the "genuine Buell part!" If you get the same outcome as I have from the RSS, you won't be hearing the fan very often. Totally worth the investment.

    Most frequent question?

"Is that European?" I guess Buell is a German sounding name, so it's not a surprising question!

    Buell at Daytona

Give the EBR bikes time - Eslick is on a steep learning curve, getting familiar with the bike, greater horsepower and trying to make the thing grip. If anybody can master the 1190RS, he can. He's a stellar rider. I don't think it will be long before we're seeing Top 5 finishes, or better...

    Dented exhaust

That's exactly what did mine! Hopped over a seemingly very shallow curb, but these exhausts sit low! It's only a very minor dent, but I was so pissed, more at my stupidity! My otherwise immaculate 12R was blemished!

    Brake Light Question

Quick shot of WD40 fixed mine

    New Firebolt Today

Good find. I honestly couldn't just have my bike sitting there, and barely ever ride it! I'd have to get rid of it. I'm out every opportunity. Definition of an addict I guess!

    New Firebolt Today

Welcome to Buell world! It's completely addicting. I have no clue how anybody could only clock up 2,100 miles in 4 years! I do that in 3 months during riding season, and there are many other riders who do way more than me!

    25,000 mile service

I was looking to see what is involved in the 25,000 mile service for the XB12R, and it says to replace the belt, sprockets and idler pulley. The belt was already replaced under warranty at 10,000 miles due to breakage, so that's a no brainer. But I was wondering if the sprockets & idler pulley...
