    ecm question

Is a stock 09 xb12 ecm able to be tuned? I was under the impression that it was locked from the factory, but was told that I am wrong about that. I am in the process of having my bike retuned, because I started having issues with my ebr race ecm, and it is locked and can't be changed, but I...

    Rider Peg design

haven't even had a chance to make a set for myself yet, but the coloring is misleading, the program I use to design these default color for titanium is gold, and knurling is silver. The finished ones will be polished titanium with a heavy knurl and radius grooves for grip. and they are 3/4...

    Running issues and odd sound

I'll try to describe my problem as best I can. To start the Bike is a 2009 xb12scg with a jardine, EBR jardine ecu, breather reroute, open airbox and k&n Filter. Recently the bike started bucking badly when trying to accelerate, and seems to loose a cylinder or try to die at different rpms...

    Rider Peg design

I don't know if I will have time to produce more than the set I am making for myself, I'll have to see how much time I have into that set before I can release a price and take orders. But, I will make the drawings, prints and materials lists available, once its fully tested, for anyone to...

    Rider Peg design

,If anyone was interested I couldn't find a design for rider pegs so I made test pegs out of regular steel to replace a broken stock peg, happy with the zero drop position and size, but realized the spring slot needed to be larger and needed a dropped shoulder on the front to keep the peg locked...

Curious on BASICS of Painting My Plastics

honestly I'd give the harbor freight set a shot, looks like a decent set up, and the reviews don't seem bad, other than the plastic cups threads wearing out, but seems the cups are cheap to replace. the amazon gun looks like its a detail/touch up gun, and would be fine for small projects but...

Curious on BASICS of Painting My Plastics

one thing i forgot to mention before i get off here for the night, after you wet sand wash the part with dishsoap and water (dawn works the best because it removes oils and residue), then wipe down with windex, the ammonia helps to prevent "fisheyes" and "scaling", and wear rubber or latex...

Curious on BASICS of Painting My Plastics

my local napa store mixes paint, but you'd really have to call around to shops in your area and find one, you can always order paint online, but I never like doing that, cant return and no direct service to talk to someone. as far as a hvlp gun, I started out with one from lowes that I got for...

Curious on BASICS of Painting My Plastics

sand my hand, or with a DA sander for larger areas, and really only have to hit it with 600grit wet if everything is already pretty smooth, only have to go lower grit if there are chips, pits or other imperfections you are trying to blend. I wouldn't prime with rattle can if you are going to...

    Jardine repack??

the factory jardine rivets and end caps are stainless, the problem is the aluminum or carbon fiber body models, the rivets work their way through the softer body material. When i repacked mine with the stainless steel wool i used high heat sealant on the end caps (for better seal and to help...

    Jardine repack??

I spent $12 bucks on two 6 packs of course stainless steel wool balls at a pool chemical supply shop and streched 8 them around the inner tube of the jardine (double layering them) and stuffed it all back together and used self tapping screws to hold it all together instead of rivets, actually...

    Melted hose

yeah, I used a double male vacuum hose splice and some small hose clamps. if you're not adding a section of hose you'll have to cut the wire tie on the sock and pull on it at bad end to get alittle slack to splice it and to be able to tie it away from header.
