    It's looking like that might be the case...new, and correct this time, battery in. No fan, speedo and tach needles sweep when the battery posts are connected, and ignition fuse pops as soon as I switch the ignition to "on". Any tips on where to go from here?

    Did 1800 miles over 3 days on my Ss a few years ago...longest day was 760 miles. Back and hands were very sore by the time I finished, was only stopping to stretch at gas stops and occasional photo ops. Definitely bring layers/rain gear, basic tools and some spare oil. Only 5 hours per day...
