Do I burn timing tables too?

Awesome. Let us know how it feels. I haven't touched timing on my bike, or my current car. The car before that was completely redone timing wise and it gave much better fuel economy and power. So I'm sure it has an effect, I'm just not sure how to tune it without a dyno.

Do I burn timing tables too?

Glad it sounds ok. It's good you backed up the full stock eeprom image as a backup. If any other problems, do the following. Create race maps 1) open race eeprom 2) save race maps Restore stock 1) open stock eeprom 2) burn stock eeprom 3) toggle ignition Add race fuel maps 1) read full eeprom...

Do I burn timing tables too?

Any check engine lights to go with it? I once changed a few parameters at once, without toggling the ignition between each write as instructed. I may have also forgot to read the existing before writing, I forget. It somehow screwed up the ECM and the limp home was like trying to ride a...

White/Blue 2009 Buell 1125CR for sale (central NJ)

Any interest in a trade for a 2008 xb12ss? Orange translucent, 2008. Think it has 12k on it.

    Naked SV650

I had one before the buell. Great reliable bike. Only a hair slower than the buell, but smoother. Only really complaint is that it's a bit busy on the highway. Geared a hair lower and runs higher rpms at 75. Also has a higher center of gravity, but vs a buell..isn't everything?

    ULY Hackpipe

Update for anyone following this thread and muffler build. It looks like I now own this exhaust, found it on ebay. I just installed and took it for its maiden voyage today. My finding so far: 1) Quieter than stock, or as quiet. May be 5% louder until for first 15 seconds warmup, but then is...

Would a FZ1 be too fast for me?

Looks like I'm sticking with the Buell. I tuned it up all nice, and it's leaving nothing to be desired now. It's become a damn monster after the retune, and all the added power is in the mid-rpm range so highway power seems ample now, too. The tune, coupled with the cold weather coming in...

Would a FZ1 be too fast for me?

If you've been riding one regularly, mind telling me what MPG you see? I'm only seeing 38-40mpg on the buell, at 60-70% highway at 70-75mph. Part of it may be aerodynamics from my height. I'm hoping for similar on the FZ1. The vibrations smooth out over 55? That sounds similar to a Buell.

Would a FZ1 be too fast for me?

A long reach for the clutch, even compared to an XB? My clutch's sweet spot on my XB is almost all the way out there. Luckily I have huge hands. I'm concerned now about the buzzing of the engine. Is that at highway speeds or what?

Would a FZ1 be too fast for me?

I'd love a 1125CR, but it's way too small for me. I look like a bear on a bicycle with a 12SS, let alone a smaller bike. The stator problem scares me the most, is that STILL not fixed yet? Yeah, my only concern. Though I also hear it's only too fast for those that don't ask. If I'm mature...

Would a FZ1 be too fast for me?

I've been eying up something larger in size, as I'm 6'7". Then, I'd also like a little more highway ease and passing power. Ideally, something touring, but touring bikes are too heavy and expensive for me. So, we come back to the FZ1. Cheap, reliable, everything I want. But...would I hurt...

2008 Translucent Orange XB12SS in North Jersey $6000 OBO

My apologies for the ultra-late reply. I never saw this message, but just got the PM. I'm considering the offer, just want to sleep on it overnight and make sure I have a replacement lined up =) I need to call and check insurance prices, etc. Then there's always the idea of selling my baby...

Buell XB12Ss. Second sylinder doesn't run on idle run.

I'd change the plugs first thing. They're notorious for fouling, especially if it starts and stalls a lot. While you're in there, you can check for vacuum leaks.

2008 Translucent Orange XB12SS in North Jersey $6000 OBO

As you can guess by my high-ish pricing...I don't want to let it go very badly. I'd need an offer I can't refuse. We just started looking for a house, so maybe I'll just keep this bike at least another season. Probably not the best time for more monthly payments. Home equity loan....second...

    2006 Xb12Ss at delaer

Dealers here are offering me $3400 trade on my 10k mile 2008 Translucent Orange XB12SS. Newer, updated engine components, 25th anniversary markings, etc. All the gimicks. So I'd bet my life they didn't pay more than that for a 2006. They should take $4000.

2008 Translucent Orange XB12SS in North Jersey $6000 OBO

Quick pictures I snagged outside the office. I'll shine it up and take closeups later if I have time. Tires are just about new. I changed them last fall, Pilot Power 2CTs

2008 Translucent Orange XB12SS in North Jersey $6000 OBO

I'm debating selling my 2008 XB12SS if the offer is right. I do mainly highway cruising, and am considering switching to a FZ8 to better suite that need. I owe you pictures, but it's your standard 2008 XB12SS with the translucent orange. 10600 miles, just changed the oil. Mods: - grey section...

    Thoughts on the FZ8?

The FZ8 looks like it's down 10tq and up 5hp from the Buell. From what I gather, it's a little quicker, but not notably. Am I right on that? I wonder if you can start swapping bolt on parts from a FZ1 or R1 if you want to beef it up, too.
