    SEATTLE?!

New-ish to the area. Just transferred in from TN in April. Have an 08 XB12R that I DD right now and just about to pick up an 06 XB12X for doing some exploring and to be my winter DD. I'm up on Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor by the base.

    Anyone in West Tennessee?

I transferred out of the Memphis area in February but don't know any blue Buells. I know a guy there who's really in to Buells, but no clue if he's on this forum or not nor what he's got in the garage right now. He is on the Mid-South Sport Riders (MSSR) forum though. If you're looking for...

    WTB XB12R rear seat

Anyone know of some bike junk yards I could contact to look for this? I'm still amazed that it's so hard to find an imperfect rear seat; plenty of good ones, but nobody has any with "rash", cuts or damage of any kind. Still looking. (email 4xsteve Gmail)

    WTB XB12R rear seat

I'm hoping someone out there has a torn up rear seat that I can get cheap. I really just want the frame and braketry of it to try to make my own 'quick mount' tail bag system, so I'd prefer not to have to destroy a perfectly good and useable seat. As long as it is still pretty straight and...

And I moved the two links from above with the pictures of the emergency repair parts I used so, in case they don't work anymore, here they are:

    WTB Firebolt shift linkage

Fish, I don't know if you took a pic or not, but I'll try to get one put up here when I get a chance to. Thanks for the quick turn around and the customization. I love how it turned out.

    WTB Firebolt shift linkage

Just as a tip for anyone in the future that has their shifter linkage break and needs to get home: It ain't too pretty, and certainly only for emergency use, but it's cheap and easy and can probably be found at most hardware or home improvement stores (Mine came from Lowe's for $5)...

    WTB Firebolt shift linkage

Heck yeah Fish. Thanks for the tip. My search didn't include that section in which you have your custom ones posted up or else I might've run across it. That being said, I thought I saw that the HD/Buell part numbers were different between the Firebolts, Lightnings and Ulysses. Does yours...

    WTB Firebolt shift linkage

Went to adjust mine a little and SNAP, one of the heim's threaded ends broke. Guess it was corroded. Shipping would be to Memphis TN, 38011. Time is of the essence though cause I can get one from BuellParts or local HD in a week or so for $40-ish. Let me know if anyone has one from a part...

2009 XB9SX with 2315 miles. ALL parts for sale! AND exclusive Hero Blue Skull Kit!

    1) So that rear shock is the lowered one, not a regular one, right; and it'll work on my 12R? (Matched up with the Scg black forks) 2) You have $300 listed for the rear wheel, is that actually for both? 3) Front brake assembly listed for $65 - is that for all parts or just the rotor? 4) What do...

2009 XB9SX with 2315 miles. ALL parts for sale! AND exclusive Hero Blue Skull Kit!

Do you have all the parts to lower an XB12R? I saw the front forks are from the Scg; is that rear shock listed from the same bike? If so, I may be interested in that set-up. Also, do you still have both wheels with tires, and do you have the front rotor?

Nice lookin ride! I'll be up in OC MD in late September for the VW show H2Oi and will have my XB12R with me. Any places to ride there or is it pretty much flat like it is here in Florida?

What is your Daily Driver? and or other vehicles.

Thanks Dave, I love mine, that's for sure! They are pretty cheap to buy these days but they are definitely still not cheap to maintain; at least if you want to do anything to them. I certainly believe you and your friend about the track story - they are great for autocross or fun in the...

How you and your bike met?

I don't even recall when I first found out about Buell. I just remember, whenever it was, knowing that all the innovative designs was just up my alley. I'm all about using what you already have to it's full potential before trying to add or change something else; so Buell's use of the frame...

    Time for another gear lecture

The first time I ever had a piece of machinery that warranted a helmet was my 4wheeler. I debated not wearing it once; smartly decided against NOT wearing it... Flipped the ATV on a hill that day and I heard the helmet crack a few times as the 600+ pound ATV proceeded to sandwich my head...
