    Front brake seized

I agree with the lever problem. It happened to me after I put aftermarket leavers on. The brake locks up when they get hot and the pads expand. I just filed the levers and the problem went away.

    What tires?

I have the pilot powers and do about the same type of riding that you described. I think that they work great. I have almost 5,000 miles on both the front and rear and expect them to last another season.

    Surging, Stalling, Etc...

Sounds like an electrical problem. Check all your connections and grounds. I have experienced a lot of weird problems when my battery terminal was loose. Mine also died on me at about 60. When your bike died, did your speedometer and tack both drop to zero? If they did then you lost electrical...

    heated grips wiring help

You can get + and - off the flasher. The flasher has three prongs +,-,and one that blinks positive. Just splice the wires coming right out of the flasher plug. They only have power when the key is on. I had the same problem. I needed power up front but did not want to mess with anything really...

pilot jet will not come out, please help!

Ive done that before. Not on my bike but on a different project. Couldn't see the screw head so when it kept turning and turning I assumed it was striped. Started breaking things before I finally figured it out. It's better to spend money on quality tools and do things right the first time. Glad...

Any Anchorage AK Buell Riders? temporarily moving

dahkgb is right. Depending on how far you want to ride or drive to work, it is cheaper outside of anchorage. The drive isn't that long though. 30 min maybe more depending on traffic and weather. Craigslist is the cheapest place to start looking. It is a bit expensive here. Are you planing on...

    Buell pro-series race filter Vs. K & N

I Have a 05 xb9r with a Jardine and Race maps. I want to put in a high performance filter. I am was wondering which filter you guys think is better. I can still get the Buell pro-series race filter from a dealer. Would that be better than a K & N? The Buell filter is washable and does not...

    synthetic oils

When I got my bike the guy just used cheep stuff if he changed it at all. I replaced it with Amsoil 20/50 and it runs great. It shifts a lot better with amsoil. No problems with the clutch or anything changing from mineral to synthetic.

i think i know the answer but need confirmation

Stang, I sure hope so. After i played around with ECMSPY it felt like a completely different bike, and that was with no packing in it. Really looking forward to it.

two new problems to deal with

Are you using Amsoil 80w95 in the primary case? I am using amsoil 20w50 in the engine and the primary. I am not sure if I should use thicker oil in the primary because I will be starting the bike in 40 and 50 degree weather in the mornings all spring. Do you think 80w95 would work better even at...

i think i know the answer but need confirmation

Just repacked mine today. I have had the bike for one season and it looks like the person before me never repacked it. There was no packing left at all. I am looking forward to the snow melting so I can see how much more torque I will have.
