xbs are fuel injected, therefore no choke. i ride my 2006 xb 12s daily to work. this being montana, it is pretty chilly in the morning (25 - 30 deg). the bike starts fine and idles ok, but it does not ride very well until it warms up. the engine sputters, backfires and surges until it warms up.

and from personal experience i can say that if you have the dunlops and come into a corner a little too hot, do not ever touch the rear brake.
