    XB12Scg First Track Day...Any Advice?

Oh, and do NOT run at the same pressure you use on the street. A good range for our bike is 30psi front and back. Track officials can tell you better when they inspect your bike.

    XB12Scg First Track Day...Any Advice?

Unless you ate doing speeds in excess of 150, dragging a knee in each corner, or racing in high temp areas, you should be fine using you tired on the street after. Just keep am eye on them for wear. If they look like an eraser afterwards; little balls of rubber all over it, just wipe them with...

    XB12Scg First Track Day...Any Advice?

I've taken mine to several track days so far and have had a blast. Rule number 1 is to have fun. Rule number 2 is to relax! If the track day has instructors, make sure you avail yourself of their knowledge. Stay hydrated on the track: you'll get dehydrated real fast out there. You might not...

    Track Bike...

I've taken my XB12s on the track many times, and really enyoes it until I lowsided in a high speed turn. After repairing my Buell I bought a GSXR750 that used to be an instructors bike. It rides very differently than my Buell but works better on the track. If you've never ridden anything...

Towing 3 bikes on a Uhaul 6x12 Advice needed

Just be careful of compressing your forks too much for too long. If you're going to get into track days ( I go once a month) you might look into some wheel chocks. Harbor Freight has some decent cheap ones, and helps keep the front tire secure without having to crank down your forks.

    Ohlin's steering dampener

Unless you're going to be doing any hard track riding, there is little need for a dampener.

Need to replace my engine shift lever

Hadn't seen those before Kona, that might be my third fallback choice.

Need to replace my engine shift lever

My local dealership is ordering one for me, but if that falls through, I may need your help.

Need to replace my engine shift lever

Do you still have an extra one Wolfo68? Buellster parts has the wrong picture on their site, so the one I ordered was wrong.

    Anyone else doing track days?

Grattan is a very technical track, 14 turns, 12 of which are blind. Tons of fun! I find my bike dominates in the turns, but lags in the straightaways.

    Anyone else doing track days?

Curious to see if anyone else is taking their Buell to the track. Been there myself 6 times and have had a blast each time ( track is Grattan in Michigan).

    Scary moment

Lost the back tire of my XB12SCG at the track this weekend. Was having fun and pushing it a bit, working on hanging off the bike and carrying speed through the turns. I applied a bit too much throttle through the turn and lost the back end. Good thing I was wearing my leathers.

Need to replace my engine shift lever

I appreciate the offers, but I've already ordered all the parts I need to get it back in riding condition. Though it does make me consider getting a track bike, and not risk my Buell. Getting expensive to repair....

Need to replace my engine shift lever

Yeah, I'm fine. Happened at a track day, too much throttle into a hard turn. Back end lost it and I slide with the bike. Thank god for full leathers!

Need to replace my engine shift lever

Need to replace the engine shift lever on my 2007 xb12scg. Got damaged on a low side and the piece that attaches to the shift linkage broke. Can't find it on ASB, any ideas?
