    Clutch issue...major work.

The clutch does not slip at all, perhaps the cable is at fault. Well, i'm replacing clutch cable while replacing primary cover.

    Clutch issue...major work.

I use my '09 XB9SX to commute 60 miles a day. The thing has held up well. I do have to adjust my clutch more often than i should. According to maintenance manual, i should adjust the clutch every 5,000 miles, i had to do it about twice as often as that, every 2,500 miles. Constantly...

    Buell mpg????

'09 XB9SX (100% stock) - i average about 40mpg with a mix of city/highway driving (80-85mph on freeway, engine is so smooth at 4500rpm). fuel light comes on about 110 miles. its a lot better than the 22mpg in the cage.

Best roads to ride your Buell on.

I'm a fan of GMR (Glendora Mountain Road). Usually nobody else out there if you go during the week. Pretty much just stay in 2nd gear the whole time. A lot of twisties! http://www.lateralg.org/roads/orange/foot6.htm

    XB9 for first bike?

XB9 was my first bike....ever. Bought it brand new Dec '09, shortly after they quit making them. Its a great bike, I love riding on the local mountain roads. Xb9 has plenty of power but not so much that its a deathtrap.

    984 vs. 1203

Why is that? More air + more fuel = more power. Right?

    984 vs. 1203

So would the 12 throttle body fit on the 9?

    984 vs. 1203

I know the two engines share many parts but what about the throttle? Does the 1203 have a larger throttle than the 984? I can't find any specs for either engine.

    Front Brake Pads Worn

both sides are wearing at the same rate. i do more city driving than highway driving. No racing, no track days, taken it on a local mountain road once (Glendora Mountain Road = awesome).

    Front Brake Pads Worn

How long should the front brake pads last? I've got an '09 XB9SX with 1700 miles on it and noticed my front brake pads are worn down to about 4/32". The rear pads still look brand new. Perhaps I haven't been stepping on the rear brake as hard as I should?
