    2005 Buell XB9SX w/Micron

RIght, has cycle pirate footpegs, adjustable clutch lever, etc.. The original blue panels were fogged over - I think someone tried to wax or clean them with the wrong product. I bought white panels from ASB and those are whats on the bike now. I believe I passed on the hero blue panels to...

    2005 Buell XB9SX w/Micron

Gonna keep it together to sell - if the buyer is interested i've got a stock XB9 can that is in good shape. Sell the Micron off the bike after you buy it and laugh all the way to the bank.

    Part # Question

(I only have the 2005 xb9sx part number book) Looking for information on ZTL2 caliper - is H110.1AMZT the bare caliper, or the kit that includes retainer pin, pads, etc??

    rattling sound while accelerating hard

Rattling like a bunch of pennies in a coffee can being shaken around, or a more solid rattle?

Broke down with 300 miles to go

Mine did the same thing at the beginning of a roadtrip. Turned out to be that "77 connector" Ended up cutting out the connector, hardwiring the wires, and got back on the road. Didn't feel like waiting for a replacement to arrive. Worth a shot.

    EBR Brake Master Cylinder

Nitto - what brake line did you use? I'm guessing that is the 17/19mm Nissin one that ASB sells. Looking to run the 19mm with the 8 piston caliper on my Xb9SX, but can't find an off the shelf brake line that will work with the different positioning of the radial MC. Local hose shop has a huge...

    Water Proof Covers

Covers are silly. I live in the city and my bike sits in rain, snow, dirt, whatever. Ridden in most of those conditions as well. It's a bike, it just gets a little dirtier than it otherwise would.

DMV Buellers meet up and rides

Anyone in need of some XB9SX Plastics? Set of plastics for Buell XB9SX - the see-through blue stuff and a muffler cover. Windscreen/cowling/whatever is cracked. Free, you pickup from NE DC. Gotta get rid of it before I move. [email protected] if interested.

broken stearing head bearings xb9sx lightning

Replaced mine once or twice before - bike seems to go through them pretty quickly. Don't have any pictures - be gentle when removing the old ones - make sure to hammer them straight out. Gut an old bearing of it's insides, and you can use it to help press the new ones in. Had luck heating the...

    Dyno tune near DC

Anyone have good experiences getting a dynotune near DC? Looking at Liberty HD up in Fredrick MD, a bit of a trek, but i've heard good things about them.

    Voltage Regulator replacement question

OK, so got a new regulator in the mail, along with the updated connector to replace my sloppy 77 connector still on the bike. The new regulator already has the updated connector installed. When installing the opposite half on the wiring on the bike, how do I determine which wire goes into which...

    D+D Exhaust - $250

I like riding year round - and finding a wash your own bike setup is hard in the city. It's just surface crap, though. Coat of BBQ paint and some wire brushing will make it good as new.

    D+D Exhaust - $250

It's an exhaust. It sounds good. It looks bad. But you aren't going to look at it, you are going to use it. Spray it with some BBQ paint. Then ride. Asking $250 plus shipping. But I would much rather prefer a local pickup. I live in DC. Shipping would be done through a UPS store as I don't...

Dropping motor to install Micron - what do I need, what else should I do?

As the title says, I'm going to be installing this Micron in a few days. I'm guessing that the studs in the bike are going to give me some trouble, and i'd more likely than not want to replace them before bolting up the new header. Any ideas on aftermarket studs and bolts that would be a better...

cold natured or is the weather draining my new battery

I love riding in the winter as well - still commuting daily. The windchill was 15-17 this morning and it does take a pretty good time on the starter to get the bike running, 20 seconds or so? My bike is parked on the street, and I don't have the luxury of having either a battery tender or...

    Bike running hot

Backstory: bike is a 2005 xb9sx. Had D&D and open intake when I bought it, and was "dyno tuned", but ECU looks to be stock from the outside - no race markings or the like. Bike got super hot during the summer, to the point of loosing most all power, and detonationg so bad that I could hear it...
