    2005 Lightning XB12S 3.5k miles $3.5k NYC / NJ

I have '05 Lightning that needs trans work. I'm the second owner and had it for 5-6 years and about 100 miles. Recently I started riding it and after 20 miles of highway riding trans wouldn't go lower than 4th gear. I took the primary cover off to inspect the shifting mechanism and it seamed ok...

You also might want to remove that Duralast TPS and install one from HD, I shop at AutoZone all the time and throughout the years I learned the hard way that Duralast electric parts have numerous issues . I had ignitions coils, cam position sensors, crank position sensors, oil pressure switches...

    Can't Remove T27 Torx Bolt

I would use a brass or aluminum punch and smaller hammer. Tap the head of the bolt few times followed by the application of penetrating oil, let it sit few minutes then 3-4 more hits, then try unbolting it

    Belt guard removal??

    1. remove valve stems 2. add Li-Ion battery ( extreme handling improvements + better 1/4 mi times ) all jokes aside I would not remove belt cover, around 12k miles I got stone puncture with cover in place and riding only on the paved roads. Also more important, what if part of your body or...

stalls at first idle , any Ideas

lamarchangel is right, do you blip the throttle a lot - 1125 does not like spikes in throttle and tends to shut off when you do this, at least until you take out AIS and adapt yourself to Rotax's power curve which is finicky when it comes to of the line acceleration in comparison to XB platform...

    1125cr 2009 NJ/NY ready to ride $6,500

Red 2009 1125cr with 5869 miles. There are no problems with the bike and as far as the upgrades/repairs I had following done: - replaced instrument cluster under warranty and re-flashed ECM (unsure of mileage maybe 300 or so) - installed Buell OEM raised handlebars kit (brake and clutch lines)...

    Aux lighting question

Every bike is going to have relays for lights including Uly, however you do not need to know where it is. You need an extra relay (relay in the schematic above) and a piece of wire t-tapped from the hot wire of the high-beam, plugged into 86 connector, that's it. 30 85 87 remain the same as...

    Manifold Intake Seal Question

rotation is not required, however it is a super slow process to take those flange bolts out, it helps if you have half-moon wrenches (there was a write up here on the forum)
