Hey guys,

I have searched as hard as I could. My last ride, almost home I realized that the top caliper bolt had fallen out. I took the bottom one out and it is a HD-GRD8 bolt. I got another from Harley, but on initial screw, it felt a little tight though. Speaking with my dad, he said it's not uncommon for these bolts to be two different sizes. Could anybody possibly help me out with the part number for the top bolt please? I see in my manual the specs it needs to be torqued to, but not the actual part number. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

your bolt part number is: 90128A624
size is 3/8th-16 X 1
it is grade 8
all H-D dealers have it along with most local quality hardware stores.

Thanks a lot Barrett. By chance, did you find this online or a physical manual. Either way, do you have a link to the resource? Thanks again man I really appreciate it.

Oh wow. I took out the one I still had to figure out that bolt and brought it to Harley and they had that one I listed, which apparently is indeed the correct one. I just got a little concerned after my dad mentioned sometimes they are different sizes on top and bottom on different bikes, and that initial screw I did just to check it out seemed pretty tight.

By googling what you mentioned "Buell Microfiche and Parts Listing" I found this ... just like you said

I'll be sure to bookmark this. "Buell Parts Numbers" sadly returned less informative results ... at least for me. I am about a .5 in the mechanically-inclined department so I definitely appreciate the nudge in the right direction. Or, well in this case, the answer haha.

Thank you both so much for the help!

Whenever a bolt that your replacing seems to be going in a bit too hard, STOP ! Double check everything.

Also don't go by the torque settings for the oil drain, it is wrong, just a little tighter than snug.
