So I purchase my 2007 Buell Firebolt around 23000 miles. Everything ran great. Only thing noticeable was the low idle. Since than I replaces all seals on the motor, new battery, new tires and a new fan. two thousand miles later the bike started to run differently. Went from driving smooth to feeling like it was choked up, eventually leading the bike to started to jerk as soon as it hit 3000 RPMS. As so forth through out the gears. Even coasting at high speeds the bike still was Having some type of jerking probablem. I than took the bike to Harley where I had them do the 25k maintenance service. After, The bike idled great and ran like a brand new bike, three days later the bike started acting up again with the jerkiness. Has any one heard of such problems? Thank you so much. Wish I was clear enough. -Jimmy

2007 firebolt had regulator pin/plug upgrade; 3000 rpm produces lots of voltage, check the regulator plugs for arcing.

low idle; check TPS voltage; 2007 uses ECMSpy computer-2008 uses manually

check the induction/air intake module for signs of oil. possibly oil being cycled back into engine from breather hoses.
