08 XB12X Airbox Cover Swap

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum but its great to see all of the info sharing and support available here!

I just bought an 08 XB12X and am looking to change the colour. Does anyone know if the airbox cover from the Lightning will fit the Uly? Has anyone actually done this?

I like the new "Kick Ash" tranlucents that came out on the Lightnings. I realize that the flyscreens aren't interchangable, but I am not too worried about that.

all of the xb air boxes will work on your bike as long as it is from an 06 or newer bike that has the vent by the gas cap.

What did you end up doing with the blue plastics? I almost bought a blue 09 a year ago until I saw the black 06 for half the price. Wouldn't mind swapping out colors at this point.

I am hanging onto the blues just in case I need a change or damage the translucent.

You can't wrong with the black that you have in my opinion, but I guess a change is always nice.

Are all the airboxes in terchangable, with the exception of that airvent? I'm looking to swap my yellow ones too but i wasnt sure if I could extend my search to 1125 covers and uly/xb12ss covers. Will 1125 fron fenders fir on XBs too?

The airbox covers are the same and I think the fenders will fit.

tj, had to check. changing colors from time to time would be pretty cool. I'm a raider fan, so the silver (ok grey) and black thing works.
