Hello all. So I've looked around on a few different spots and I've only found one other guy with my problem and his bike isn't even a Buell. I've even had HD look at it last year and they couldn't figure it out so they just suggested it could be the clutch plates.... porbably not.. Nevertheless I got the Screamin' Eagle Performance Clutch Kit put on there and of course it's made for an upgrade Sportster so I'm diggin' the pull. The only thing is that it's still doing the same $hit. I'm not taking it back to the dealer as they have all seem to have abandoned Buell. The attached link to youtube is of the guy that I found that has the same problem, needless to say he never responded to my YouTube post nor my email. Any help I could get would be great. Also I've done the following.

1-TPS reset based on what I found on here and BadWeather about 08+ Buells
2-Plugs
3-Oil change after they did the new upgraded clutch. .. (due to mileage ... still rolling it)

Please click below.

Same issue I have

Why in the world would you hold the throttle steady when shifting if you don't have a quick shifter??

Pull the clutch while letting off the throttle, shift up, release clutch and apply throttle....um...? Am I missing something?

The gear ratio from first to second is pretty good. It should yank front off the ground if you clutch real fast from first to second. It's a matter of gearing. Clutch smooth and it won't exist. Clutch hard and lunge off the ground

@Sirius815
=) when going around town for me. That's some other guy in the video. When I'm cruising through town doing the speed limit, his example of power lunges happen to me. =)

It doesn't happen to me during shifting.. I'm a pretty smooth shifter. =) Old guy here.... =)

Thanks for the input guys..

Are you possibly keeping rpms too low? I know before I got in and did some thorough tuning my 12 would surge at constant low rpms.

Hell I run my 12 to 5-6 before I shift and cruise minimum 35. Usually stick around 4 I mean that's our power band is starting at 4 so why not cruise where the engine is designed to work....

I'm getting 42mpg in a mixture of heavy stop and go and highway cruising generally around 80-90mph

I normally shift my 12 at 3k - but it does require easy throttle after the shift as the bike will sputter from 2-2.5k. Some fine tuning may help your situation - but I never remember the lunging you are describing. In first it'll do it quite a bit at low rpms (think MSF course).

Thanks guys. I'll do another TPS reset via the throttle twist for the 08+ and then I'll run it with higher RPMs

Ended up being a Transmission problem. =( oh well. At least she'll be like new......3Gs +/- a few hundo later.
