09 xb12r heated grip plug location

ok so i bought some aftermarket heated grips today for my 09 xb12r and wanted to tap into the ractory prewired plug so i pulled my front fairing off assuming the plug is somewhere under there and to my surprise there is no unused plug so where is the factory prewired plug at?

You dont have to take the fairing off, it is under the fairing stay on the brake side near the fuse box.

The male/female plugs are under the fairing on the throttle side in plain view if that helps any. I just used the factory plug for a gps source.

i see a bare orange and black wire in that area is it possible that those are the wires and someone just cut the plug off?

yes.
get a test-light and ground it to any good known ground source. if you have seat off ground to - cable or - battery post. turn on ign. switch and test orange wire. you will find it "hot". test black wire and you will find nothing. turn off switch and orange and black wires should now both be dead.
