[confused] I have a 09 1125cr that has a 2010 battery, I live in Florida so I know that a new battery is in need. My question is I haven't rode in a while but have been charging my battery. I have replaced my brake light/ horn fuse twice and just took it out for a ride tonight and about 3 miles down the rode lost my brake lights, horn and speedo which they are all linked to the same fuse. My question is does anyone think a weak battery could cause this or should I look in another direction? Hope someone can help me out this bike has been nothing but electrical problems for me. Thanks in advance Zac

I had a fuse problem concerning my running lights and turn signals. It ended up being a grounded wire inside my turn signal bulb housing. Just check all of you wires pertaining to that fuse.

Most likely the cause is a short in that circuit. Good luck finding it. A weak battery is not going to blow fuses.

When I put the tail tidy on my CR, I had to rewire the rear turn signals, and a single strand out of the wire didn't make it into the crimp, which I didn't notice. It blew fuses as well, but that single strand was shorting against a piece of metal under the seat. Found it, recrimped, and problem solved.

i just took the tail section apart and looked at the wires going to the tail light and where some leds had been spliced in with a tap and go connector the wires may have been cut a little bit to much. could the vibration of riding and the loose strands create a surge when they make contact? causing a blown fuse?
