1125 R/CR tail section on Firebolt?

As the title says. will the 1125 R/CR tail section fit a Firebolt. becaus i found a sweet tail for the 1125 but i would like to know if it will fit my Firebolt.
I spoke with the guy that makes the tail but he didn't know if it would fit.

Haha i agree! Its a buell....even if it doesnt fit, it can always be made to fit!

i am pretty sure the R/CR's have the same tail section as the firebolts.

I'm 99.5 percent sure they use the same subframe and tail, the only thing that's different is the undertray, which is the piece you want to replace. If you look at the bikes you can see that the 1125 undertray sticks out below the bottom of the tail while the xb tail is flush. Still, with the same tail and subframe I see now reason they wouldn't just swap out the same and then you'll just have bonus storage under your seat!

the subframes are different. i'm not sure how much though.it also looks like it's missing the mounting holes in the middle. i understand thoughs can be cut just letting you know.

it's prolly not worth the time/effort.
the subframes are alot different. mounting bolts and such.
the battery on an 1125 is up under the passenger seat, and that makes teh under tail a few inches lower. you might have clearance issues with teh rear tire if you get it all fitted up with some custom brackets and such.

compare the shock clearance/cut-out area, and the tail light moulding in the pics you posted above.

It wont work unless you cut out the base, the shocks mount completely different if you look in the pic of the 1125 you can see how the shock is offset and the XB is centered, then look at the under tray you want, it has an offset for the shock, so you will either have to fiberglass that in and cut it in the center or have a big hole, on the side.

Might be more issues but that is just one that pops out at me.

thanks fore the many good answers. i didn't know the shock was offset on the 1125 but now i can see it wont fit.
do any of you know about another undertray for the firebolt made of carbon?

I know there has been some on ebay. I'm sure with say 15 or 20 minutes worth of looking you could find something in the states and cheaper then those European ones (though Ilmberger is NICE stuff!). Check MDI Carbon perhaps.

thanks mike.. but what im looking for is a undertray that haven't the stock tail light. like the one i found for the 1125. but i don't know if it's made.
