Hi,

I just bought an amazing 1125cr made in the end of 2009 with 1.5K miles.
I've been getting random check engine lights and low fuel lights. Yesterday it took about 7-10 attempts to start it. It would sweep the closc, all lights would switch on and then when I start to turn it on, the front ligh dims and nothing happens. Not even a squeek. Same today. I thought...hmm the engine is cold, it has 20W50 oil and it's quite cold here...and then I went to a fuel station, engine at about 80F and after putting fuel in...I couldn't start it for about 3 minutes!!

hmm

I ran the diagnostic (toggle and mode buttons together) and f*** me, I've never seen so many error codes!

Here they are:

PO339
PO628
PO193
B1005
P0503
P1601 (auxiliary relay)

Sooooo, what next? I still have 3 months warranty. However due to my previous HD experience (wanted to split engine cases, the guy said, he's never done it before lol) I want to know exactly what to tell them and how to fix it, so they don't f*** my bike up even more.

All help will be much appreciated!

Low fuel light is common as hell it takes a fuel pump to fix it.
auxiliary relay I think is the recall harness under the seat which is for the charging system. Can buy a replacement at any parts store for about 5 bucks.
one of two things is your main issue a weak battery or a charging system issue.
Likely should just have them put a stator in it.
is there another buell dealer close that has a 1125 tech??

Last summer mine did the same thing. Fortunately it was under warranty, but it ended up being the stator. They replaced it.

sadly guys the change of stator will onlyh fix the problem for a short while and the problem will return, the only fix is to have your stator rewound using higher grade wire and better insulation and upgrade your regulator there are many posts on this, sadly the wiring harness pack supplied by buell to fix this problem is shit,i had the same problem myself and did the above and ive had no problems since, hope this helps good luck

Is it below 50 where you are and do you have a cali can?
You can easily check your voltage output.
Start the bike warm it up push the 2 switches at once goes into diag check voltage output should be 13.1 or higher unless it has fix then it will jump up as the revs go up.
If you have a cali can get rid of it and deal with the fuel spitting out. If it's below 50 the lfl and cel on for a few minutes is no biggy they all do it.
