Although, whenever we stopped, people would walk right past his Ducati and swarm my bike :D

Rode about 100 miles today. I've had my xb12scg for about a month, and LOVE IT.

That's a bad ass bike. I've read quite a few reviews on it and everything I've read says its damn near the greatest bike ever!

Wow there are some narrow minded/ opinionated people on this forum haha

BAD ASS Bike! The Buell definitely catches my eye but the Penigale is a beautiful piece of art. I love the exhaust coming through the fairing! 192 HP of sexiness!

It's freakin awesome. He said I can ride it after the break in period. About 400 more miles to go!

The as tested hp on the 1199 base model is around 157hp. But hey every dyno is different and Duc just like every one else will say almost anything to sell a bike. Motortrend has a video comparing the BMW thing with one head light bigger then the other and the Duc that covers the motor just enough so when you ride completely tucked you get a three degree burn on the inside of your leg and need a skin graph. O and dont forget about the rear suspension that wants to tear your other leg off if your jeans get caught in it.

Anyway the BMW has more power around 172hp as tested and laps the track faster then the Duc cripple you 5 minutes into riding it thing.

By the way that's all crap I'd still buy a 1199 if I had 20,000 sitting around.

I was at a bike night last week and someone rode one of those in. Its a sexy machine for sure.

There was a slow roll contest that day, and a guy on a Thunderbolt won.

My friend who has one let me ride his. Here is what i think of it compared to my CR:

Duc is hotter and puts the heat on you MORE then the CR to the point where you cant put your legs on the frame.

Say bye to your nuts cause they are going to be on the tank (and this is suppose to be the best "nut comfort" from duc)

Doesnt pull THAT much harder

You think buells and 1125's vibrate? No, the duc with ******* make your hands go numb 10mins into riding.

Sound is about the same but worse since its the stock pipe.

Break down duc vs 1125:
Good Bad
Looks more heat (thats also put on the rider more)
More power barely vibrates more
far more un comfortable

So, ill take my buell that is amazing in all of these spots, save money, do my own work, and still get more looks and better sound!

Still a cool bike tho. Just not what i thought it would be. :D Best way to love your 1125 more, ride a 1199!

Thought this (cycle world review) was interesting.

they gave cornering to the 1190rs but torque and power band to the panigale

BTW - from the reviews i've seen the bmw may have hp on the panigale but it also weighs like 40lbs more and all the riders were complaining about cornering with it.

I'm surprised it's hotter then the CR cause mine gets hot as hell and I didnt think a bike could get hotter.

the 1199 is one sexy bike... and im with Loki on this one. I rode my friends 1098 and wasnt impressed for the price tag of it. But they def look sexy lol

Im not a fan of the looks. The technology of it is pretty impressive, and all the reviews make it sound like the jesus bike to save all motorcycles of the future, but i just cannot get over the looks.

I'd pay the money for the Ducati before I paid more for an EBR bike, current and supposed affordable bikes that are "coming". Funy side note, talked to the GM of a European motorcycle dealer in Texas (name withheld for specific reasons) and was told they put in to be an EBR franchise and were shot down because EBR didn't want to market his bikes next to the brands they sold. Found it kind of strange he didn't want to go against well established european marques. Must be taking a page out of the HD business manual like they did by only pushing Buells thru HD showrooms.
