Dude thats Legit! Nice work. Is air brushing hard to do or are you very artistic alone? I alway have respect for air brushing work.

i took art class in h.s but that dont got shit to do with airbrushing. it helps ya but not really needed. i did this with a, now dont laugh at me but a 10 dollar airbrush from harbor freight lol. this is a one color airbrushing the stars are besed with white then i went with metalic black for the skulls and picked a light source and shaded them in.

Freehanding airbrush is pretty hard and takes a lot of practice. However, alot of companies make stencils which give you a custom look without alot of hassle. If you have painted before, grab a set of the stencils and give it a try. If you have never painted before you, might want to become proficent at laying a base color and clear coating it before taking up airbrushing. If any of you guys have any questions about airbrushing or paint in general, shoot me a pm.
By the way, for a first time last looks good Fock.

yellow50 , i did use a stencil for that, bought some plastic sheet from hobby lobby a\found a pic on google and ct it out. what do you think i could improve on??

The best way to make the stencils really look like they are not stencils, is to shade and shadow. So for instance, pick one of the skulls and try and make that one look like it is closer than some of the other skulls by giving it a shadow. Also, cleaning up some of the stencil lines by shading over them will give it more of a freehand look. Then if you really want to get technical you can add highlights on certian parts to look like the light is relecting off the highpoints of the skull. It is kind of hard to explain but if you look up airbrush tips on youtube there is a lot of helpful info.

Here is a trash can i painted up a while back. That was the first time I tried the metal tear effect. I wasn't to happy with the tears but thats why I did it on a cheap trash can. Practice on junk stuff that way when you do the expensive stuff you only have to do it once.

Fock- is that a Fraiser stencil? I've taken a few classes taught by him here in SoCal. Great guy! I've never tackled the torn metal look...time to give it a go. Lookin good!

Unreal job.My friend did that years ago on a surfboard and now is a airbrusher for a living. He makes big money. This could change the direction in your life...:D

could someone list some of the parts needed for me to get started on airbrushing?...I looked around a bunch but really am not sure which is a good airbrush to buy for starting out. thanks

Iwata HP-C is what I'm using and it's VERY smooth and reliable. You can use any compressor as long as you have an inline moisture trap and an air line for your brush.
