So i broke a belt a month ago down shifting coming home from work down the mountain. I ordered a new one, which ran me like 130$ and when i got the damn thing it was wayyy too wide. It has the same model number from what i can tell, G0500.01A7, but is an inch wide rather than about 3/4 or whatever i need. My belt is sknnier.

From what i can tell, the internet only sells the wider one as that part, but its usually listed as 01-08 Blasts. I also talked to a big Harley/Buell dealer and the parts guy said that in their system this belt, the skinnier 135 tooth one is now 'obsolete' and no longer made or sold by them ... Only the wider 139 tooth belt is available. So...

How do i find a new belt? So far i havnt been able to even find on the damn internet in any form, only the wider one. I will continue searching. If anyone knows where i can buy the correct one that will fit a 2000 Blast, please send me a link or direct me to who has it. If anyone has one with very low miles or a backup, shoot me a message and we can work something out. Thanks for the help guys.

I know this thread is 2 years old but I'm dealing with the same thing right now. I have a 2000 blast and I can't find a belt for it anywhere. Please Someone help

Didnt realize the 00 has a different belt, nevermind...

I dont see why you couldnt update to the late model front and rear belt pullies, so you can run the late model belt. There are front and rear pullies on ebay right now that are pretty cheap.

I have a belt off my '00 blast with 6200 miles on it. I believe it's the updated one. I should have the rear sprocket and the spedo corrector. If you need it.
