i have recentley brought my m2 and shortly after i broke the front mounting bracket bolt. the problem was put down to a crankshaft out of specks so i hade the engine rebuilt, 70,ooo klms .and replaced the bolts with grade 12 high tensile , after 700 klms the bolt broke again !!! .no one can work out the problem and i dont do wheelstands

well after a lot of money and time i worked out the problem !! it turned out to be the front rubber isolator mount, i replaced it with a softer compound one and presto all good ,

well the saga continues !!!after 5000 klms the top rubber mount destroyes itself and the dealer wont take any responsibility and sells me another mount, well do i buy heaps of mounts and keep changing them or is this a bad batch of mounts !!! the rubber compound is very soft . so if any one has had this problem let me know.

Buell has just recently issued a new rubber isolator kit which is supposed to have better quality than the old style, Or you could purchase the HD part 79d, but you will have to have the center reamed out to 1/2 inch so bolt will fit! Many claim that the front mount breakeage is due to Im-proper instalation! There is also a billet mount made by an aftermarket supplier ( think AmericanSportBike) sells them! and they are much better quality! Hope that helps!
