2006 Blast possible purchase

I work in the motorcycle industry, and have an opportunity to pick up a rather.....hacked....Blast for next to nothing.
I don't know mileage details, but its been spray painted, subframe cut with hacksaw, seat recovered with.....gulp....a pillowcase. Its ugly, dirty, and for some odd reason I want it.
Don't know much about the Blast other than at 6'2", Ill look like a monkey humping a football when riding it. But you can't beat the price of admission, or the 68 MPG they claim it gets. I'm thinking it would make a wonderful commuter

What say you folks?

how much is next to nothing?? $500.... go for it. Then ride it for a bit, fix it up and resell it for $1200 to a new rider next spring. I wouldnt call it a wonderful commuter, probably pretty cramped for a guy your size. But if its real cheap i cant blame you for wanting it. I did it, a couple times LOL!

I would go for it. Just try to get more info on it. I bought mine form buelly for $600 and it was in pieces.

Um, I would do some good pm's and a thorough inspection before riding it if a hacksaw has touched it! But with that little being spent you can throw some money at it! If he used a hacksaw and its ugly he didn't use the best fluids to keep her going!
