Hi everyone, I need help! My Buell Ulysses has been sitting for 20 years. I changed out the fuel sending unit with new fuel pump, regulator, etc. and I cleaned the injectors. WITHOUT the airbox on, the bike idles, stays running when hitting the throttle, etc. HOWEVER, when the airbox is on, as soon as I hit the throttle, you can see the it sucking in but it immediately dies, everytime. Any ideas to what it may be or is there a way to bypass this issue? I am lost.

Possibilities:
1-Air cleaner element compromised and blocking air flow---likely
2-TB air horn adapter NOT properly installed---most likely---see attachment

After checking the above ^^^^ make sure you aren't miss mashing air box parts from other years. The older bikes with the frame hole above the left scoop have an enclosed airbox, with an open air box floor. Later ones have vented upper airbox and sealed floor.

Basically, can you see where large amounts of air would enter the airbox after the top and bottom are assembled?
